In theory, yes.

From the practical view, PGI has just started working on it, so you will have to wait.

After talking with a few people on the TS i wonder how much it will matter.

The cat had to get the model redone because of the scaling( maybe other changes). Due to this it sounds like if they have to do any large rescaling they will have to rework the model.I haven't seen any other mech than the catapult getting a new model don't plan on a big change.

well considering the size of the Zeus the AWS could use a massive rescale and or remodel, here's to hoping loved the AWS since mw2 mercs

yes. Dunno how far along it is, or when they will start rolling out, but the AWS is on the way, all slimmed down and pretty.

catapult actually was mostly to update it (or actually return it to) 2k textures and fix some slop in the early game models. AWS is very likely getting same treatment, as it too needs to be returned to 2k and being an early model almost certainly has other issues.

But since it's Size is actually good, it is one that needs to be remodeled, not so much rescaled.

The re-scale can't come to soon. It's like meeting a "skinny" friend at the twenty year reunion to find they have put on 100 pounds.

Centurion please I love the sword and board, but not the *heavy* size.

trebuchet has it worse

height is the worst dimension because youre easy to hit from the front, back, AND sides.

width at least only makes you easier to hit from the front and back

very low on totem pole of rescales, as much like the Shadowhawk and Griffin it's size hasn't' really impacted it's gameplay effectiveness. Bad mechs are getting first dibs.

Trebbie is bad, but the Shadowhawk has consistently shown that height isn't that big a deal. Width is indeed the dealbreaker.

I disagree. Height is definitely a dealbreaker if you have low hardpoints like the Trebuchet and the Atlas.

The Shadowhawks height isnt as big of a deal because it gets those nice high mounted shoulder hardpoints.

Tall and skinny is not great, but wide is the worst. Wide mechs still tend to present more surface area to hit than tall ones, and they are more likely to be hit since people tend to track targets more side to side than up and down. Also, tall mechs with high weapon hardpoints can be at an advantage for peaking, while there is zero benefit in the game for being wide.

The Awesome is too wide, which is one of its many drawbacks. It really should be the size of the Zeus; heck, in some artwork, they even share similar rolled shoulder and torso structures, so it shouldn't be that hard to redo them. We'll see what happens, though; it's not that profitable to fix old mechs, and only the Nova and Catapult are known to be getting heavily redone thus far.

I was hoping PGI would do the re-scaling of mechs with a wide angle lense after seeing and fighting the newly released warhammer pay to win esk, scaling and signature. Be that as it may the Awesome is one of the worst, and has been measured to be "as difficult to hit as the side of a barn", there are a few other bad ones but I won't name them at this time.

Lets hope PGI are able to do an in depth analysis of the performance of mechs before they do away with the quirk system. As of this publication I am still hopeful for all weapon quirks on mechs to go away forever, with the support of the Peoples Against Weapon Quirked Mechs Coalition (PAWQMC), the future is bright.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't it make the 5 final to be rescaled in the poll? Cent, Blackhawk, Catapult, AWS and ?
