Huh. That implies that old MASC is 18.5%. So new MASC is a downgrade? Or is the 13.5% number I've heard for new MASC incorrect?

MASC VI or whatever the assault class masc is, gives 18.5% currently. The SHC's only gives out about 10%. The new assault MASC's speed boost is going to be 30%, and, IIRC, the SHC will be bumped to 20%.

Plus, ya know... the rate of unfill will be doubled, meaning you can pump those speed boosts twice as often.

Ah, right, I forgot that there's 4 versions of MASC. SMH.

Carry on, nothing to see here...

El Bandito........ Quickdraw outguns, outruns and has more durability than a Timby. Just saying.

Sorry to revive the previous hijack of this thread, but I see this sort of thing a lot.
Does anyone have a video or a link to any comp matches (it is only comp players who make these sorts of statements) showing a bunch of Quickdraws beating a bunch of Timbers? Even some one on one stuff would do. I just want to see and maybe learn the techniques that people have for regularly stomping a Timby with a Quickdraw.

Quad UAC10 KDK-3 is likely to be the perfect storm for ultimate dakka. It's like a Clan Mauler, with ten more tons, lighter weapons, C-XL, and unlike the DWF can change its engine, add that sweet 7-slot ES/FF, and ditch any unnecessary sinks. So it's better than the current best IS dakkawagon and better than the current best Clan dakkawagon. The powercreep is real, y'all.

Not getting them myself; I hardly drive any of the assaults I already have... but I suspect any claims of DOA will be greatly exaggerated. They might just wind up being the best of the Clan assaults- the weapons aren't any lower than anything else Clans have right now, the chassis has way more potential free tonnage than a DWF with a comparable engine size, or a way higher top speed with a comparable weapon load, and a humanoid profile for better damage spreading. PGI would have to actually try to make that a bad 'Mech. I'm sure it's possible, but I find it unlikely.

My point is survival on ST loss is over rated, since you rarely contribute much with a 1 sided C-XL mech... even my Laser vomit Hellbringer (2xERML, 2xLPL), which loses no weapons if i lose the RT, is semi useless because the heat nerf + DHS loss means i overheat on the 2nd alpha. Its obviously better than dying, but the actual difference it makes is minimal, other than helping that mechs KDR stat.

I really, really wish they would just buff the IS-XL to survive one torso destruction so all the whining could finally stop, and we could stop relying on so many quirks

I think I found your problem. It's called Heat Management.

MASC will do that, I suppose. Thank goodness for buffs, eh?

Personally I would just cockpit the Timbers with all those high mounted lasers with a little JJ boost giving you easy access to the huge head hitbox. If you can gain just a meter or two of height the Timber is probably the easiest mech in the game to headshot out.

I headshot a Timber Wolf poptarting in a PPC/AC5 Dragon Slayer. It was the best feeling ever.

Yeah they can. You can look at the Clan vs IS matches but those don't have a direct comparison. But yeah, LPL duration is huge, especially because you get all 3 on one side, and don't have to add a shoulder box to do so. And then the Quad ERLL 5K is a better sniper for obvious reasons, I shouldn't even have to explain that one.

The powercreep is real. IS may have uber-quirks, but the Clans get access to a TARDIS. Posted Image

Seriously though, KDK-3 is 3068. So much for the timeline.

I'm curiouser as to what people will name their Kodiaks. For me, Pedo-bear is a given for the "hero" one because of MASC and the number of missile hard points. For the others, I don't know. I want to name 3 of them Ice-bear, Panpan, and Griz, then stack them like in the show "We Bare Bears."
But I also want Yogi and Boohoo. Than there is Berenstein Bears characters...

Oh the choices.

Sorry for Hijacking again but, why would putting an XL in a QKD invalidate my argument? XL's are pretty standard in most if not all Solo/Group queue built QKD's.

Probably because a single ST loss with an IS XL means death where as a Clan XL does not?

Is that really the issue? Losing a ST? LOL. IS XL's are not some death trap. I run XL's in all my QKD's WHM's and MAD's and get pissed at myself when I don't do over 600+. Hell, I placed in the WHM event, in all the variants, running XL's. You get ST's it's your own fault. Especially with mechs that have JJ's. Armor rolling is a art some of you desperately need to learn.

In that case, I must immediately demand the rest of the IS UAC and LBX ratings, light ACs, ER lasers, MG arrays, light and heavy Gauss, and MRMs. For great justice.

Also the Uziel and Argus.

reaction; LOL

These new packs are the ultimate money sinks and gold mine for PGI

For $20 you get useless standard mechs, basically making the minimum $35 instead of $20

$35 is 3 standard and 1 hero

$40 is 3 standard, 1 clone hero (clone hero is bad)

$55 is 3 standard, 1 clone hero and 1 unique hero

$70 is 5 standard, 1 clone hero and 1 unique hero.

OR

$72 is 365 days of premium

$80 is a origins IIC pack with 4 unique heroes, 8 standard and heaps more content.
