Dear PGI and fellow Mechwarriors,
This is a humble proposal for the creation of an event in celebration of the Urbanmech's release in 2015. This proposal is posted months before the Urbanmech's anniversary, which would be April 1st (announcement joke) or April 7th (release) depending.
I humbly propose that PGI set aside April 1st through April 7th, 2016, for an event centered around the Urbanmech. I recommend the event be centered around Kills Most Damage either against Urbanmechs or as Urbanmechs. The prizes or proportions are largely irrelevant, and the event could coincide with Urbanmech related sales. (such as the mech itself, standing cockpit items, warhorns, patterns for the mech, ect.)
The Urbanmech represents a very lighthearted spirit. In Battletech lore, it was a cheap defense mech with it's price tag as its only saving grace. On April 1st, 2014, as an April Fools' joke, PGI announced the upcoming release of the battlemech. To the surprise of PGI, many players "fell for the joke" out of a deep desire for the mech to actually appear in the game. Perhaps as a fondness for the Underdog, the original announcement thread continued to receive posts calling for PGI to create the mech.
One year later, PGI relented, bending the rules for MWO to accommodate the only mech in this game with a standard 60 engine stock, and from our collective viewpoint, it was warmly received.
Developers and Players both, this mech's history is an example of community between us all, and should be celebrated. Please support this idea.

That would be a good opportunity to release a hero Urbanmech chassis.

How about every 2 urbies count as 1 mech in the drop numbers. I know balance wise for lore 10 v12 was not possible, but that may have been with the actual balance computation for reg Q.
I think it could be like an Urbie Zombie apocalypse (special camo)
I really do not think balance would be to bad and it would be funny having 2 teams of 24 urbies and all of the lag that would be encountered.
As many things as I have said anti lore, I still like the urbie humor. The pack is worth it for the schwag and premium time.

There's gotta be something to offset the entire enemy team playing kick the can... so throw in a team-wide bonus for each Urbie left alive on the winning side, or a bonus for assists where an Urbie got the killshot.

I approve of this thread and the implementation of a proper heat scale.
