Today I saw a Hunchback HBK-4P with 3 ER PPCs sniping my team from the top of a perimeter wall near F5. How do non jump jet-equipped 'mechs get up there?

it is possible to walk up the hill outside the wall in one or maybe two places and get onto the wall if I recall correctly.

I've never seen anyone up on those walls significantly contributing to a match.

You've gotta be fast, though... you run through a sizeable 'out of bounds' zone on your way up there. Do not attempt unless your Mech can top 80 km/h.

You haven't seen a twin-Gauss DWF with ECM ACH pair up there. Sure, back to the sun positioning as it helps to conceal mech profile.

I'll have to play around with getting up there. I have enjoyed sniping from afar with ER PPCs with my Mist Lynx and Shadow Cat, both jump-capable though since I thought that was the only way to get up there.

If I can get a Stormcrow up there with some ER PPCs, that could cause some pain and be a major distraction Posted Image

iv'e been that ACH / something with an ECM so many times in that position.....its funny as all hell just watching the entire enemy team flail around confused as to how missiles are raining down on them when no one has L.O.S.

if you don't pop off lasers, you can hide without any effort and just hold locks all game till they're dead or forced into the under box to be picked off as they poke out. Its works especially well with a dark overall camo pattern and you sit in one of the shallow spots on the upper wall, the only way someone notices you is if they use heat vision and look in the right direction ( which is usually behind them too ). It's great fun and some of my highest scoring round on HPG have been through doing this for the majority of the round, waiting till the last few mins of the round to help pick of the survivors.

never underestimate the wall, with a good player up on it, it can cause chaos, no matter what the mech.

You must have never had someone up there using NARC and on voice comms calling enemy movement
