New Flamers - Fixed

So you all know with the coming patch that Flamers will be able to do 4.5 heat per second on enemy mechs.

This has been mentioned.....

Instead of basing a discussion on some video of a Mech running SHS, we should discuss this using actually valid information. Comparing the heat of flamers to firing weapons is a valid discussion, not some BS about a Mech with SHS.


The easiest Solution to fix Flamers is Ghost Cooling. The Cooling cap comes in once 3 (or more) Flamers are added to any one mech.

How does this work you may ask...

1 Flamer = 4.5 HPS.
2 Flamers = 9 HPS. (2x 4.5)
3 Flamers = 12 HPS. (3x 4) <=== Ghost cooling starts here
4 Flamers = 14 HPS. (4x 3.5)
5 Flamers = 15 HPS. (5x 3)
6 Flamers or more = 2.5 HPS per Flamer

Makes total sense and readily understandable for everyone.

Who cares if the enemy is boating flamers. They're doing ~0 damage at 90m and wasting 1 tonne per weapon.

Would the time before your own flamer build the heat reset if you chain-fire them? Just wonder

The idea is so inane and stupid that I'm going to assume it's false flagging from somebody who is buttmad that people are looking at the heat damage from flamers and saying "wow, that looks pretty ridiculously overdone."

or someone who thinks ghost anything is pretty funny and just having a laugh. heck i even posted we should have ghost damage somewhere recently .. lol. its even funnier when people actually think you're serious.

Same as the shall not be named machine gun exploit. I think what you are referring to still works in test ground, but not on test server. Not sure though.
