I tried the fix on a whim and am now in. Sadly, almost out of time to play for a while at this point.

Win 10, Nvidia NVS 4200M video card.

Try pyrocomp's suggestion of creating the file if it does not exist:

Put this inside:
; DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE!
r_DXVersion="DX9"
d3d9_TripleBuffering=0
r_txaa=0
r_msaa=0
r_postaa=1
Save and run.

the r_postaa was 0 instead of 1 before the change. Should I keep it as such with the zero? Again, still works, regardless of that number change.

Nevermind, I recreated the file in notepad ++, works fine now and I can log in. Mistake on my part, as I am no IT wiz.
Sorry for all the inconvenience, now on to test out the rifleman. Thanks to you and especially to @ pyrocomp
One happy customer (and prolly more frequently forumsmember) here

Create game.cfg manually. It's contents are listed at previous page.

Try changing in-game video settings. Might be that postaa or any other option is haywired at the moment.

What's in your game.cfg (to recreate issue)? Have you sent a mail to the support?

- If you still receive a D3D error, send an e-mail to technical@mwomercs.com and summarize the issue in your e-mail, including the steps you've taken to attempt a resolution.
