It was a gray day in River City... I was in my beloved Cat-J with 6 MPLs and in a bad mood.
River City has a bad way of making mech warriors bunch up and hang like school kids at the 7-11. I was not going to play that this time. We moved up the hill to where things often bog down and stop but not this time. I pushed on over the bridge towards the tunnel and to my happiness the team followed. We regrouped there for a moment then pushed on to the city. Not an enemy in sight. I guess we had built up some momentum by then because we just kept going around, through the water and found ourselves focus firing on an unfortunate King Crab that failed to keep up. It was a rolling shootout from then on. We got the next kill and I new we would win. That good old feeding frenzy mentality took over the team and it was glorious. The ball of death formed and I was having fun now. We won a 12-2 victory.
So try and remember that the next time your in River City.
Don't stop somewhere and try to defend. It does not Work!!!
You will end up getting picked off and die.
Have nice day ;-)

Are you trying to tell me firing lines dont have to be static!?
madness! madness i tell you!
All joking aside, if you watch any competitive teams play, the good ones are always, always, always moving. Press W to win does not mean walk into the enemy, it means that with the right coordination and the right commands, you can have a mobile wall of dakka that can point in any direction, and move anywhere you need it to. The idea that a firing line has to stay still to even be considered a firing line is pretty much the exclusive product of the underhive. Let them stay still. With a good team, you'll run circles around them in a direwolf.

When in River City, always keep moving, beat the crap out of them, and make them Barf!
Also, the enemy might kidnap your girlfriend. River City is a strange place.

Aye, because River City is such a complex map it really needs someone to take the com and call out some directions for the team. So... for the good of your team and yourself, when in River City don't be shy.
