A team-mate DC in his Jenner and guess what happened? He was running around in circle with a speed of light, I mean, seriously, he DC'd in front of one and a half lance of enemies and the DC Jenner managed to survived till he was 22% till he got destroyed. The enemies well, were obviously laughing in the ALL chat and so did we..

Oh, remembered one from last year.

Forest Colony. Assault

The team decided to take the beach side to ninja cap their base. All 12 mech swinged wide clockwise - took almost 5min. No one saw a blip on the radar. Got to their base, started capping and that's when we got the warning that our base is being capped. Turns out the other team had the exact same idea but went the opposite direction.

The longest, most bloodless win I can remember where not one shot was fired in anger. It was tense when we started hoping we wouldn't get spotted but by the end people were just chilling and talking the other team on open chat.

The funniest moment that I've been a part of took place on the old river city map. I was piloting an HBK-4G, and I was walking through the buildings near the boat spawn, when an enemy commando comes running past me, hitting me with his SRMs along the way. I turn to chase him down, just to see him run in between some buildings close by. I follow him, only to find that he had accidentally run into one of those M shaped buildings, and I was now blocking his only exit. He knew he was done, so he turns around, looks at me, and types "do it." I then promptly buried an AC20 round in his cockpit.

By far the funniest thing ive seen happen in this game was a longish time back, just after Clan Wave II was released. I was in my ERPPC/ECM Mist Lynx being a pain in the *** shooting people in the back from the walls on HPG. i had scooted around till i was behind the enemy team and was popping out, shooting a Timberwolf (who was hanging out at the back of the enemy lines with a SCR) in the back and hiding.. as i shot him i could see him spinning around every time trying to figure out who was shooting him, not seeing me and giving up. After about 4 or 5 hits in the back he turned around and alpha'd the friendly SCR in the face, i assume because he thought it was the one shooting him. I was crying with laughter..

Went through the tunnel on Frozen City in a 9 Flamer Warhammer, and ran right into a Hellbringer from the enemy team. I started spraying him with glorious flamer death, and there was a solid four or five seconds where the guy just kind of backed up and didn't fire. I like to think that he was too busy laughing his *** off at my 70 ton toaster oven.

I've mentioned this one before, but still the best/funniest kills ever in my experience:
Old forest colony. I had just started playing and was in a Raven 2x maybe a Huggin? (I don't recall). Anyway ran across the water to check/cap enemy base and there were two mechs waiting. Theychased me to the area in the water where there were these docks and other structures poking out on the edge of the map. Ran in there to get a bit of cover and they followed. Ended up running out of bounds. Timer started counting down and I ran back in bounds. The two following apparently were too slow. Both died behind me. I never fired a shot.

More recently:
CW. Boreal Attack. Approaching right gate and a clanner had managed to get to the top of the mountain to the right, right on the edge of the map, and was sniping us as we approached and none of us could hit him. Flame war on chat started with some on both teams complaining that it was a BS tactic since there are only a few mechs that can get up there, etc. while others defended the practice. After a bit the sniper must have been focused in to much on his target and ended up falling off the mountain on our side of the gate. Without missing a beat he typed. "Came down so we could continue our chat." While of course we blasted him, all sides got a good laugh out of it.

Older one:
I was on Frozen City in my XL350 MAD-5D, not long after its release. The situation had devolved into kind of a stalemate, with the Red team having taken the B4 corner, but our assaults having no-sold them by taking the alpha ramp and joining up with the rest of the company.

So everyone on the left side is peeking and poking, while the right side, consisting of myself, couple of mediums and a couple of lights are getting bored and annoyed because we've no good targets to shoot at, and we lack the numbers and weight to start a push into open terrain. And just as we're sitting there, what could possibly pop out of the tunnel behind us, but a SRM Griffin who's trying to be sneaky? Unfortunately for him, a half-dozen bored mechs who really, really, really wanted to shoot something were right there, and before you could type "mistakes have been made", we're chasing back into the tunnel.

Do you guys remember those old cartoons, where a character is chased by a literal gaggle/furball of other characters? That's exactly what it looked like. Mechs were trying to jump over each other, work any angle they could get, would even shoot their buddies in the back if they had nothing else, just to get shots on the Griffin. We dropped him just as we all spilled out of the tunnel (and I mean spilled, 6 mechs exiting pretty much instantaneously) face-to-face with a couple of red lights who suddenly found themselves in 3:1 odds. You could just about hear the "oh ****" going thru their pilots' heads. And the wrecking ball lived happily ever after. The red team not so much.

Just last night, while dropping CW:
Our DC decided he wanted us to try something new, so instead of the usual 3 heavies and a light/med or 1 assault, 2 heavy, 1 light, we'd go 2 assaults, 2 lights and he'd call the order. The first match we drop is on attack against skittles, so not much of a challenge and we just do the steamroller in our assaults. The second one, however, is a hold on Grim Portico, so our DC gives the word to go all lights for wave 1. 2 guys are AFK so they drop in heavies, but it's all good; our DC decides to use them as bait. We got lucky with the opposition too, since we got a HK 10-man, with 6-7 6RNT, and we're looking forward to some competent opposition.

So, the two heavies head out to post between the gates and bait the reds, in the meantime the lights go full speed towards Alpha gate, fully intent on flanking right around and falling on the red team from behind at 140+ kph and giggling the whole time (did I say giggle? errr.... i mean laughing maniacally... mercs laugh maniacally, they don't giggle).

So, we're almost out the alpha gate, 10 little piranhas, intent on being all sneaky and stuff and we round the corner... straight into the 10 other lights! Cue facepalms, disbelief, frantic status reports, and an impromptu 10 v 10 light brawl that we couldn't have organized better if we'd tried.

Of all the planets to drop on that night, of all the pips to be contested on that planet, the two teams that had the same brilliant idea, got dropped against each other. You can't make this stuff up XD

Spectating this poor guy who accidentally drops arty as his feet, panics, runs the wrong way and then scores a headshot on himself. We both had a good laugh afterwards

Man I'd love some real DFA.

Well, we all know what a Highlander Burial is... I managed to give an opponent an Awsome burial during the closed beta.

It was in the old River City and we just heard the command. everyone to coordinates <something or another> (Cant remember exactly of course)". The closest way for me was to drop off a bridge and walk through the water, what I didnt realise, was there was apparently an untargeted enemy assault standing under me, waiting to shoot me in the back as soon as I move... in the end he was standing too far forwards and my feet met his cockpit on the way down and I was wondering what I had killed without shooting anything until I turned around and saw the dead mech.

Maybe not THE most humorous... But remembered fondly:

Was running an Ember on Alpine, fairly soon after release of Firestarters, when the Ember was pretty decent. Early in the match I am heading toward engagement range and my computer graphics freeze up. Was a problem I occasionally had with my old graphics card, where I could not do anything to get control back and usually had to alt-f4 out (no rejoin feature at this time). In this case. I just left it that way while I wandered of to grab a beverage and answer natures call... I come back about ten minutes later and see my screen is no longer frozen and my Ember is running up against an I scalable slope and my team is dead, leaving me against seven enemies. I type a brief message to my team explaining what happened and note that everyone, but mostly the enemy, is bitching about me "hiding". So I type an explanation in all chat as I head off to find the enemy. Since I'm not seeing them I type "where's the fun?" Enemy calls out a grid location and I say "ok, I'll be right there". I run and find them on a hill near the southern base and rush right up to three of them, targeting a damaged Atlas, a four ML alpha and saturation from my MGs pop the Atlas almost instantly and as a cackle I take a second to type out "Hi there!" In all chat before fighting for my life with the other two who were right there. I took out a second damaged mech and nearly had the third when the rest of the team caught up and quickly finished me. I was giggling the whole time though. It was glorious

Back when Tourmaline was new and I was running my gausskitty, there was this highlander that managed to eventually get on one od the highest tourmalines near Theta. saw him, and my snapshot wennt through his windshield and nailed his helmet to the escape hatch.

And over teh course of about 15 seconds, i watched the mech ever so slooooooowly tip forward and fall of teh tourmaline, tumbling 2-3 times in teh air and landing vertically on it´s head... if he wasn´t dead before, he was now.

The slow motion death itself was hilarious, BUT:

Then it needed another 15 seconds to fall over onto it´s back....it was standing on what was left of it´s head for at least another 10 seconds :D :D

Had a similar deal where my game crashed at the start of a match. I decided to grab a drink and use the facilities. Logged back 5 min later and the rejoin button was still there. Thought "what the heck" and jumped back in.

Turns out I was the last one left in my Stalker-3F against three enemies. My team informs me that they're all in the middle of Terra Therma. I roll into the middle expecting to get ganked by several heavies, and am instead faced with 2 Urbies and a medium - all banged up. I proceed to easily destroy all three in my fresh Stalker and win the game much to everyone's surprise.

Apsolutely the funnyest thing I've experianced in MWO was a no-ammo Dakka Wolf staring down a cored all-weapons-out raven.

The pair were the last two, both unable to shoot, and do any damage at all to one-another. The match ended in a draw, with both teams laughing our arses off for like 8+ minutes.

The raven had jump jets so he was trying to mount the dakka wolf, and the proud wolf kept trying to shrug him off..

Lolz all around..

Whole team searched for an enemy ECM Commando after we slaughtered his 11 friends. We couldn´t find him for like 5 minutes. When the time ran out and the timer showed 00:01 i fired an alpha into the corpse of a dead Assaultmech out of frustration. At this moment i get a kill notification, a dead commando falls out of the corpse and the match ends.

A few come to mind:

- HPG Manifold, an enemy Catapult is being hammered to pieces, and as he dies he.... falls through the floor and vanishes. Talk about completely killing a guy.

- Old Forest Colony. I was in a Highlander and so was an opponent when we ran into each other near the old narrow canyon area not far from the tunnel. We both leap into the air, shooting - and manage to both get stuck to the walls and ceiling. So, we continue our strange dual hovering in mid-air, glued to the canyon walls?!

- Any of several cases where killing mechs has sent them flying or tumbling at surreal speeds and angles. I still want to see a game where the dead enemy gets kicked into orbit when killed... hehehe...

- HPG Manifold, and I'm in Awesome that has been legged and stripped of all its weapons. The enemy has 1 guy left (ECM Raven), but most of my team blunders off one at a time to face the sniper and get killed. Soon enough, it's just me and him, and he's making a big show in chat about how much of a big man he is. But he forgot that it's Conquest mode, and all I had to do was hide, power-down, and wait out the clock. At match end after we won, I asked him why, if he's such a big man, he couldn't defeat a legged, weaponless Awesome.

- Forgot one on old River City. I'm in a Jager and I lose all my weapons and the rest of my team dies. The enemy team calls out for me to just come out to end it, which I'm fine with. So, I walk up behind an enemy Stalker in plain site and just stand there... and he simply doesn't notice and starts walking away. So, I started to follow him, matching his movements. This goes on for well over a minute, maybe two, as I simply walk around the map behind this Stalker, now curious how long it will take for him to notice me. Eventually, he stops, slowly turns around, and I managed to type "hi!" in general chat before he kills me. In the end, he said it was my shadow that gave me away.
