Where Have All The Players Gone?

The 4v4 CW which was announced 23498234 years ago still isn't here. If this game wants to retain players there NEEDS to be gameplay diversity.
Where are the solaris matches? Where are the 1v1s, the 2v2s, etc? Oh sure we can set up leagues and such out of game and play in private matches but as long as this game has been around those game modes should have been in ages ago.
Leaderboard seasons with different tonnages and number of players would be AWESOME. Solaris matches with dota-like replays...sign me up. PGI wants to make this game an esport and they're doing it totally wrong.
We long-time players go play other games and keep coming back hoping for something new and awesome to keep us interested.......and it's still 12v12 team deathmatch over and over and over.

Other than hanging with my buddies for a few drops, I'm done. It's not Mechwarrior, it's not Battletech. It's big stompy robots.
Pretty much this.
Hanging on with hope for CW Phase 3 but fully expecting nothing but a new Excel Spreadsheet.
Last time I remember there being a player counter there was around 2k people on.
Now there's a player counter for just steam and there's still only around 2k people on.
Huge maps designed purely for walking to the same 100m x 100m grid square time and time again with no objectives and no point to anything else, the only "new" game mode has added a green circle and another timer.
Waiting damn near half a decade for this game to git gud but alas all it is and ever will be is 8 minute deathmatch splats with zero repercussions.
Mechlab and customisation is great fun, whats the point if the mech is immortal and the only purpose is an endless cycle of deathmatch drops?

MWO just quite simply lacks the depth I would expect from a modern game, let alone a BattleTech game - which MWO never was

But yeah, MWO simply needs web advertisement imo.
I remember World of Tanks started out as one ****** little, bugging pop-up-add on a russian email hosting service. Lowest of the low, garbage is the first impression I had myself and so did my friends.
However, looking at the titan of gaming that it became is pretty chilling to me. It is a borderline injustice, since that game has nothing on MWO. They even had pay2win ammo options. That is like... speaks for itself.
So solution is, advertise MWO on ****** Russian email service-providers

Heck, they even introduced a new game mode (Dominion) which they will or have remove(d) b/c of lack of interests from the playerbase. So in this regard, I think ppl expect too much from the game. I've spent roughly over 1000 games (several months) in LoL while I have spent over 9000 games in MWO starting since January 2015 and I'm still not bored with the game to quit it for good. But admittedly I took a 2-3 months break.
About CW, I couldn't care less b/c
a.) it takes too long to find and finish a game (I could live with a 2-mech-drop-deck) and
b.) I don't like getting stomped by well coordinated teams while I myself am in a team of pugs.
PGI could involve players more in the BT universe and in CW by incorporating the pug system into CW, meaning that to just abandon the pug queue and instead introducing a CW-pug-queue. Every player would have to choose wether they want to fight for IS or Clan and is thus matched accordingly. This way we would
a.) have a more lively MWO universe (ppl can identify themselves with one faction or another and actually do care about the development of the warring factions)
b.) avoid the problem of a lacking playerbase for CW since everybody will be playing CW.
But again, I, like many others (I'm sure of it), wouldn't be interested in 30 min matches . So just keep 1 mech for pugs and the drop deck for group queues.
The game still has many flaws like
a.) high pricing (which didn't keep me away from owning clan wave 1-3, resistance 1 and kodiak pack) balancing (IS laser boats seem to be superior compared to Clan counterparts atm)
b.) especially the lack of a community chat function!
etc.
Last point is a major turn off for any online game. But altogether MWO is a good game which has entertained and is entertaining me longer than any other game I've played before. Usually, I get bored with a game after 2-3 months. So, it's a good sign that I'm still playing it - just PGI, don't expect me to spend any more money on clan mechs until you really have balanced out clan vs is. Some nerfs (on clan side) were just unnecessary and/or overdone.

Pal the reason most old guard players left MWO was because MechWarrior2-4 and Battletech had so much more to offer than MWO as far as game modes Co-op play mission modes maps and a huge Social atmosphere that expanded the PC IP games way beyond what the original designers ever imagined.
BattleTech and MechWarrior could be played with hundreds of combinations and variations 24/7 it was never boring like MWO is with its crappy repetitive style game play.

- New, low budget surprise mech packs being made available for sale. Not released 6 months into the future, but made available to play the second they're available on sale. Ideally, this should be new variants of existing mechs, which would be interesting to both old and new players. For example, pay $20 to get a brand new variant of the Jenner, the Griffin, the Black Knight and the Victor for Inner Sphere players, or $20 to get a brand new variant of the Adder, Shadow Cat, Hellbringer and Warhawk for Clan players. New variants are cheap and easy to make, and you could take advantage of a temporary surge in activity and interest as both new and old players are flooding to the website.
Well, this came to pass. As of June 21ST, the Butterbee pretty much is the realization of this "vision".

I don't know if they will ever try this. They havnt tried anything so far. The World of Tanks and World of Warships owner just reached some kind of mile stone for huge money.
This is how they announce updates.
Crap game by the way so don't waste the time.
I'm guessing your very bad at it, because it's no better or worse than MWO, only the servers don't crash, and the modelling is stunning

This game if fun, its not for everyone but i think it should have a bigger pool of players, steam was a nice boost but this game needs more marketing effort, even tho i understand why the wont do it (old year F2P with not much growth) a shame because im real enjoying this game
