I`d like to see an integrated voice like the one in EVE where each lance can have it`s own channel and where lance leaders, scouts and team leaders have customizable voice priorities.
This allows for superior command and control of groups of people and makes it possible to coordinate more complex maneuvers than currently possible on Teamspeak for instance..
Example:
3x lances are out on S&D mission.
1x Heavy close quarter lance
1x Front recon lance
1x Fast/medium skirmish lance
Each lance has it`s own combat protocols coordinated in their own channel. Scout in recon lance has team voice priority and cuts of anyone else talking (except team leader). Recon squad lights up hostile heavy targets for the CQ lance to engage while the skirmish lance moves in to take out hostile light mechs.
Rather than focus fire on individual targets each lance follows their own combat protocols and the team engages multiple targets at the same time. Team leader modifies the gameplan on the fly and like the scout has voice priority.
Before eve voice, conducting complex integrated maneuvers was a pain in the *** and everyone focus fired instead. With multiple voice channels and customizable voice priority it`s possible to do far more impressive things..
Integrated Voice- customizable voice priority

A lot of people would agree with you, especially those who will be playing a lot of PUG games. Unfortunately it won't be in at the start, or for an undefined time. People in organised groups who will be using TS etc say that there is no need for it, which for them is true. Many have made it very clear that they see no need to talk to people outside their group.
Given the need for teamwork in the game, I can only assume that they think all players are in gaming "clans" and will have their own solutions..Personally I've never found any previous MW multiplayer to be much fun without some form of communication. If you're a joystick player it is rather difficult to type in chat.

Only way to do it is have Team Speak or Ventrilo running in the background. Allocate a button as a "push to speak".
Thats how I've been working it, and set your priority system on that.

Doesn`t work.. That`s the standard way of doing it and it`s not conducive to efficient comms. To be truly efficient each lance needs to be able to communicate properly internally, but they also need to hear the team leader and the scout without requiring any screen changes or menu crap.
Look at it this way. In a military setup you might have an operational net for a particular squad and four squads might be connected through a tactical net. That way each squad can conduct independent assignments while still executing in a coordinated manner with the other squads. That`s what eve has done.
You can limit comms traffic on TS with predefined combat protocols but in order to adapt to the changing combat conditions each organizational unit needs comms space while still maintaining comms between the units and the Officer in Tactical Command (OTC).
That`s just not possible on TS. A system like eve-voice where you all channels are interconnected and you can set traffic priority for the members is far superior. I`ve commanded gangs up to 6 people in BF3 on TS and gangs up to 25 people in EVE on both TS and EVE-voice and i can honestly say that EVE-voice is the only way to efficiently coordinate and execute complex operations.

Ventrilo has a administrator option where u can monitor other channels. Might be possible to assign option to others and depending on system have a different avatar in channel for assigning directions.

And how do we co-ordinate which program etc in a PUG match? Until I find a merc group to play with I am going to be reduced to making guesses at what we are doing. Teamwork is the essence of the game and we are not going to have in game VOIP, at least for a while.
Existing fans will put up with and work round such problems. Given the learning curve involved in a MW game how many newcomers will persist if they keep dying because no-one can help out?
