I dont understand this whole philosofy of staying strictly in a certain year of mechwarrior, there is no plot introduced to us , no cinematic telling us what year it is or anything like that, so why ristrict this game to follow some year that limits oure weapons? What year is now is totally IRRELEVANT in a plotless game where you go pew pew in different maps...Its not a deep story driven game where it matters what year it is etc, atleast i havent noticed that.

Like it or not but the majority of todays gamers need to be constantly catered with intteresting stuff. Ye i know it sucks, but such is the way the industry has changed.

Allso Mechs are not intteresting bechause they dont have any new weapons.

Heavy mech is a heavy mech if it moves 5kph more than last model and has 1 weapon spot higher that wont make me go WHOOOA! WHAT A NEW EXPERIENCE! Its just like meh -new heavy mech feeling like the heavy mech before this...

Dunno about you guys but im bored to my teeth and find myself hoovering my mouse over MWO icon and sighting in boredom and launching a new game, more and more :(.

Weapon systems like Long Tom or Arrow IV artillery are too powerful, and bringing them to the current game would become a disaster. On the other hand, PGI can create specific Faction Warfare game modes involving specific pilot-controlled mech equipped with one of those systems only, based on specific rules shared on CPLT-C3 example:
  • Lance need to protect and escort player-controlled CPLT-C3 (equipped with Arrow IV) to designated position, to destroying specific target - like Union Dropship for example,
  • Defending lance need to destroy Arrow IV carrying mech, and if do so - attackers will retreat like in current Scout Mode,
  • CPLT-C3 is stock mech, behaving like mastered one, allowing new players to use it.
The whole concept working around "unique character" works well in Heroes of the Storm, so why not in MechWarrior Online?

I disagree; the Long Tom was always a difficult weapon to use properly, unless one was firing them essentially point blank. Mech-based artillery bombardment would be a nice change from the constant target locks of missile boats imo.

As for the Arrow IV, it's extremely heavy, ammo is minuscule per ton, and just read the battletech description and tell me this wouldn't be fun:

"Arrow IV launchers can be equipped with standard unguided area saturation missiles, causing massive damage to any unit within its 45-meter blast radius, or homing missiles which work in concert with forward units carrying Target Acquisition Gear to lessen collateral damage. The Clan version is lighter, and can also deliver a FASCAM (Field Artillery Scatterable Mines) round."

And like the above posts, I'd also like to see:

Heavy Lasers
X-Pulse Lasers
Light Lasers
Light/Heavy/Snub-Nosed PPC
Binary Lasers
Bombast Lasers
Light/Heavy Gauss Rifle
Medium Range Missiles (MRM) 10-40
Streak MRM
LBX AC20
Ultra AC10/20
MASC (Myomer Accelerator Signal Circuitry)

~So forth and so on...

Heavy lasers wut?? x-pulse wut?? binary wut??
Heat from firing those would kill you faster than you would be able to kill enemy with them, cheers for 1.4 heat sinks

Lbx is pretty useless and tbh idk why lb10x takes less space than ac10
http://www.sarna.net...LB-X_Autocannon
"Taking advantage of advanced materials such as Endo Steel, the company was able to reduce the weight of the weapon for only a slight increase in bulk"

Tbh i would like to have acs more widely used
Because what we actually use?? uac5 and ac20 sometimes.

Hell unless they increase amount of slots i can pretty much forget about ever getting viable/semi viable superheavy mechs too.

I wish for more weapons too but MG's are really good mid-late match when there are exposed internals.
An AC20 might be able to destroy such an exposed internal section but that's only if you manage to hit it.
MG's will hit and if you got 3-4 of them they will tear apart an AC20 within seconds.

I really want MG arrays. 2 such arrays would be incredibly powerfull in the later part of a match.

A ALOT ! Of new interesting and functional weapons have been added to the game. I have made MWO my nr1 game and play allmost exclusively it. I have bought 5 new mechs and alot oF MC since now that we have new weapons and alot of new mechs (and maps) this is really good game. I cant see myself quitting for a long time!

So big thanks for developers for listening, i have had so many nice games with new weapons :). My favourite are MRM (in youre face missiles) i just cant stop loving the fire shover on these, and ATM's have such a sexy sound effect i would use them solely for that but on top of that they make big hurts when used up close! Having funzies!

Im so glad that game has taken a right turn and offers new weapons and mechs and maps, also id like to add that events& competitions rewards are worthwhile and they keep giving me warm happy feelings when i get good stuff for free from you guys, thanks alot.

I have been enjoying my free halloween stormcrow immensly and my loyalist Urbie! Thanks for good job!

Now give us good shinies on christmas , thanks! :)

Now ill go spend some moneys since is black friday and i need moar heroes!
