This would be amazing to have on a toggle somewhere, so if you intend to do any serious aiming practice you don't have to keep wasting time suiciding your mech just to get a reload. Is this possible?

Either that, or make options to rearm/repair/respawn in a testing grounds pause menu. This is a testing environment after all.

An early version had a spot you could run over to rearm/repair/cool - it wasn't include for... reasons.
The tutorial level has changed considerably since then, but we never re-visited the feature.
I'll consider putting it back in.

Could we have one of these repair/rearm stations available for drop-in on FW? For MC?

Would definitely be appreciated in the Testing Grounds.
Could be a reward for getting Scouting high enough on a planet in FW even beyond the Artillery strike (like all the way to 100% or extending the scale past 600). You've scouted the enemy lines well enough for a mobile field base safely on to the battlefield (with 2-3 uses total for all 48 mechs that will drop) near your drop zone for repair and rearm during a match, even if it was only a partial repair (restock 25-50% of you armor and/or ammo instead of all of it)

Joking aside, a rearm station (or destructible vehicle) would tamp down on the laser vomit a bit.

Actually I meant Testing Grounds where you study mechs and levels. This would be like a development tool for this mode only (and indeed, maybe in the tutorial). If you implement it via a Pause menu it will be accessible at any time without the need to go anywhere or change the levels in any way, so much easier to implement.
