Okay, I am not new, but considering there is no real 'help' forum on the site where you can post these kinds of questions, this seems like the next best alternative for me to ask about it here and see if anyone else has this same problem or has experienced it before during the new FP feature...
Ever since the last patch of the game, after FP was re-designed and introduced, I have noticed that in 3 of the 7 games I have played in FP, that when I die, you go back to the 'Mech Selection Drop Deck, yet even after choosing my next 'Mech to drop in with, I notice the 'Mech I chose landing from the Drop Ship, yet the 'Mech Selection Drop Deck screen still shows on the screen and no mater how many times I click all across the screen or try to move my new 'Mech to get back into the battle, nothing seems to work.
I thought at first it must be because of the 30 second count down timer you had to wait for, but I also noticed that when waiting (impatiently) for it to go from 30 seconds to tick down to 0 seconds, the timer resets back to 30 seconds and, apart from logging out of the game map and then back into the game, that fixes the problem, but when it happens after 2 or 3 'Mechs in a row when I die, it is not very convenient for me (or the team, for that matter).
I have already logged out and run the MWO Repair Tool at least 3 times, but by the end of the scan, it says there are no problems at all, and with my computer meeting all the requirements needed to play MWO, I can only conclude two things: Either I am cursed and the game dislikes me with a passion or that the last patch of the game has a big which has caused this, because this problem had not happened to me since before the last patch.
The is still also the issue of the HUD disappearing whenever I drop in a new 'Mech (usually 1 time per FP match, but sometimes 2 times) and even though I have been told that hitting the right CTRL key can cure this, that does absolutely nothing to fix the problem, so again, the only way I have found to get past this is to log out of the game map and then log back in.
Do either of these happen to anyone else or have any real advice on what to do when this happens so that I do not have to constantly log out just to fix the problem (and potentially cost my team a victory in whichever opponent we are facing in FP)?

a few things which may be worth trying including powering the Mech down and back up, bringing up the battlegrid, pressing esc to go to the game menus then exiting them.
I do not know if any of that will help but it is worth a try, if it keeps happening submit a report to PGI using the email technical@mwomercs.com, include as much in the way of detail as you can including time, map, screenshots, and anything else you consider important.

Post on patch feedback with the tag BUG or ISSUE.
There is a dedicated PGI guy who comments on, investigates and submit reports to the bug crushing team daily
Think it's Dave Forsay or some such.
Rogue's idea is also worth trying (especially if you think it's on your end).

I saw this very thing happen when someone was streaming a match. The guy was locked out of the game for a couple minutes while he tried to get the selection screen to clear. It finally did but unfortunately he did not know what he did to get it to clear.

You might want to run the repair tool. I'd say it's 50/50 if it's a bug or a patching error.

Thanks, Koniving and Spike Brave, I will try the repir tool first but if that does not fix the problem, then I'll take Koniving's advice and post about it in the bug report.
