I want this Mech so bad :)

Torso Twist and Accel/Decel quirks would be nice :)

Quirks? What quirks?

This mech doesn't need quirks.

This mech is so awesome once it's released,

the whole game will need quirks

due to its extreme and utter eye burning

AWESOMENESS!!!

Nah d00d, the Kodiak is what happens after Chuck Norris has a threesome with an Atlas and a Ghost Bear.

Expect none. HGN IIC has none, after all.

None of the IIC's have any quirks. They gave them to the IS instead since PGI is biased.

yes, of course that's why. Not because the Clan Battlemechs have ClanXL engines, smaller and lighter weapons, etc. No, it's because PGI is biased against Clans. If my eyes could roll any harder, they'd be on the floor.

I do think the HGN IIC and ON1 IIC need a bit of twist and structure respectively, but there was a very real danger of Clan Battlemechs being grossly OP out of the gate, so not quirking them initially was the responsible choice.

If they buff them, everyone is happy. When they release mechs OP then nerf them, people freak the **** out.

fact is, PGI isn't biased. you want quirks, be IS. you want advanced clan weaponry and tech, go clan.

fact is, what really makes a mech good in this game is its pilot. you. plain and simple.

If you know the 'mech well, know its hardpoints, speed, etc, you'll be good in it. doesn't matter what mech it is.

and if you're a crappy pilot... no amount of quirks or advanced tech will make you any better of one. just how it is.

Yeah i do agree that not quirking them out of the gate was sensible.. however im not happy that they appear to be leaving the HGN-IIC and ON1-IIC to rot. No one is using them, they are obviously not OP, so they need help. Come on PGI.

Yeah, clearly the HGN in particular needs if nothing else some twist/turn/accel/decel quirks, even just mild ones. It's kinda terrible right now, and it's exacerbated by being such a heavy mech with such a low engine cap. Quirking it's agility a bit is more palatable overall than increasing it's engine cap. The Orion needs it less, but still needs a bit of love.

Well, no one uses the IS HGN or ON1 either, soooo...at least it's consistent?

Well, there is that - but tbh the IS Highlander is actually quite a good mech right now, at least a couple of variants. Its just outshone by other IS assaults like the Mauler, Battlemaster and Banshee so it doesnt see use. There are a lot of very good IS assaults, competition is fierce. However clan are very limited on good assault chassis, and if the HGN-IIC was up to the standard of the Heavy Metal or 732b, i promise you it would get use.

Im not advocating weapon quirks, at all. Give the HGN-IIC-C some mild agility quirks, say in the 30% region, and i think it would see some use. The other variants would need more though, because they are AWFUL. The Onions all need significant LT structure quirks, and some less significant structure quirks on the rest of the mech.

But at least the IS HGN and ON1 are both massively more agile, tougher, and have comparable offensive power. It saddens me that the HGN IIC (and to a lesser extent the ON1 IIC) are even worse :(

PRO-tip:

Do NOT fire those 9 Clan-Lazors at once on Terra Therma !

It can affect your future gameplay !

At least people have stopped asking for quirks on the jenner IIc... okay, maybe the middle 2, but the Prime and the A would be far too good if they were any more durable...
