Much Like the Nova i see the Super Nova having Most/All its weapons in its arms,

(honestly, visually love the design, but my hatred of laservomit leaves me less than optimistic about my actually enjoying one in MWO......)

Though it needs some serious variant help.

Not to mention the ER-Pulse lasers on one of them.

Until PGI actually implements the New Tech weapons and we see how they operate with our Current Tech mechs, to fix any OP or UP weapons, I wouldn't count on seeing the Super Nova any time soon.

which is why i tried to give it Hard Point Inflation away From Laser Vomit,
S-NVA-1 only 6E but also 2B and ECM,
S-NVA-2B only 2E and 2B, with Added 6M in Torsos,
S-NVA-3A Again only 6E but 4B most in Arms,
S-NVA-4C 8E the Most Energy but also 2B,

Kinda agree. MWO is getting to/will soon be/already is at the point where it is simply saturated with slightly differently shaped versions of a bunch of, essentially, the same mechs. The Kodiak has flipped everything upside down with 5-6 assaults per match with varied or dakka loadouts, but once it dies down and the other mechs in the pipeline get released, MWO will be back on the beaten path...

It is really time to introduce some actually new pieces of kit. There will always be people saying balance is wrong, even when it is subjectively perfect to other's, lets not keep losing sleep over it, etc.. etc.

I haven't seen what all's going on with the KDK in game, I've had RL stuff I needed to take care of, but I've certainly seen the QQing on the forums.

That said, I hope PGI implements whatever tech level we're going into with the mechs we have in the game right now. Tech 3 or something isn't it?

We have to see how any new weapons, X-Pulse, ER-Pulse, what the hell ever, interact with our current crop of mechs before we introduce any mechs like the Mad Cat Mk II that can really turn the game on its head.

That's really what should have been done in the first place. Get all the IS mechs and tech up until about 3055-3060 into the game, get all that crap balanced, then throw the Clans into the mix, then bring in all the 3060+ mechs and tech.

Balance has to be done in stages, and in those stages have to be many more stages and/or iterations.

So, I mean this does look like the art style in MWO. However.....

Alex, if you see this... I mean I love ya man you are my hero for modern battletech stuff.... but don't you dare draw up some ****** square DWF arm pods for my Supernova. Sexy arm pods, or the nerdrage will be real.

It is actually 90 ton, not 100.

I'm on board, but at that point there needs to be something to differentiate the Highlander IIC. Its already in pretty bad shape, and the Supernova (especially with those hard points) would do everything it does better.

So long as it gets some form of heat gen quirks I'm good with it.

Without Nova agility, there doesn't seem to be any point.

It's NEAT LOOKIN, but it can pack... what with base hardpoints? 6MPL? 2LPL/4ML?

Ya its Pretty Light on Hard Points most only have 6-8Energy,
but as it is a Battle Mech ive given it hard point inflation and new Hard Points to help,

Base hard points it comes with 6 ER LL.

And I can't fire those 3+3 reliably, or 2+2+2 with enough effective damage, so that build probably goes right out

I can KIND of see 2LPL + 2LPL + 2LPL like some monstrous warhawk, but that'd be awkward with the arms set up to have 3 in each.

The Prime config becomes a baby dire with a customizable engine size. Not a bad idea, and something I'd actually feel some kind of connection with since I already like the Nova's general play style. But it's still going to be considerably slower than the Nova if you maximize it's weapon output in terms of twisting.

Yeah, pretty sure nothing could mount 12 "normal" large pulse lasers, to say nothing of 12 ER pulse lasers which weigh even more. The most I could see a base model Super Nova having is 8 energy hard points.
