They could always just make a ninja account so people won't know they're PGI Posted Image

I collect screenshots of PGI and forumwarrior kills. I will go out of my way and/or sacrifice my mech to secure a kill on one. It makes repetitive matches a little more interesting when I have a goal like that.

Heh, that's kind of funny. We should have some sort of player-run bounty hunting board.

Killing Hit the Deck gives 30 credits
Killing Deathlike gives 50 credits
Killing McGral gives 100 credits
Killing MeiSooHaityu gives 8 credits (Sorry, Mei. You have a lot of posts, but you're not just very good at the game. Bless your little heart. Posted Image )

That could be pretty fun, people could post a bounty, and whoever collects it gets points for a leaderboard of best bounty hunter.

Could even go further and have people donate to a pot and whoever gets the highest bounty credits for that week gets a 20 dollar mech pack paid for from that pot.

well my experience from planetside 2 is that devs play under recognisable names when they are happy/deliberately attracting the attention but when they play for fun (that they used to do quite often and some still do) or research they often use names that most will not recognize.
surly PGI staff must play using unknown tags when they dont wanna be seen although in PS 2 there would be a lot camaraderie amongst team mates of the devs.
the lack of passion for the mwo ip by the dev team appears to be one of the root causes for a lot of the unhappiness in the player base or at least thats what i get as a noob looking in

I've only had one match with Tina and the PGI crew but my experience was great. My team was thanking the PGI artist for her mech work. The match was civil and fun. The PGI side (which wasn't my side) won. It's great seeing developers playing their own game.

PGI players should drop without tags.

I may post a gallery when I get home, my wife just had a baby so we are in the hospital for a bit. I have not seen a lot of PGI folks lately, though. I think my last PGI kill was several months ago, and since that one I have only seen a couple of PGI people and not been able to personally secure the kill.

I have been trying to collect a McGral18 kill and a Tina Benoit kill, but I have not seen Tina in game yet and last match I was in with McGral I think he killed me.

There was a position at one time that there was going to be some sort of bounty system.

I don't go out of my ways to shoot a PGI empoyee's mech. As someone said: he is "just" player and hopefully gets some fun.

Edit: And I certainly wouldn't go near Tina's pink abomination errr...dream of pink

Actually that's traditional.

Since closed beta anytime a PGI employee is in your match the game mode becomes Protect/Assassinate the PGI.

yeah but now I see a lot of people think they can get away with Team Damaging and cockblocking the PGI guy into the line of fire, etc. And still the occasional idiot who "accidentally" TKs one.

Yeah, but that doesn't make it right...no "right" isn't the correct way to put that...rather, it just might not be terribly helpful for the game.

It actually makes for a fun game mode for once. it is still deathmatch but the immersion of protect/assassinate the VIP veil is there.

PGI should have their own set of quirks, make them invincible PGI.

Except for 3 people ...

Russ
Paul
and
Phil (Sean Lang)

That's because those players are brainless soulless untermensch trash who let their displeasure at how PGI has handled the mechwarrior IP interfere with their sacred duty to protect the PGI.

Anyone who does that in a game I'm in, gets reported. Even if they did it to Paul and it was REALLY funny.

Another thing I find straight up ridiculous. Fortunately, I've rarely seen it. I once saw a guy TK a Golden mech though. So stupid.

I always say OOOOO SHINY in VOIP and declare that I'll follow the shiny anywhere and ask that everyone else do the same. Thus making the shiny the leader.

my experience has been that people don't even noticed (or at least enough to comment on) the tag two thirds of the time.
90% of the rest is positive, but then, I'm always game to play vip/assasinate or 12v1 with 11 bystanders.

VIP/Assassinate would make for a wonderful official game mode.
