Couldn't really find an answer to this, which is surprising.

But in any case, if I play through Steam and buy a DLC pack, then obviously I get those mechs and content.

However...

1. What if I don't play through the Steam client, and buy a DLC through Steam anyway? Does it show up in my account in some fashion?

2. What if I have two PCs, and I play through Steam on one of them, and through the standalone client on the other. If I buy the DLC through the Steam client, then log out and start up the standalone, surely my stuff will be there...right?

The second scenario is actually what I have - my laptop runs MWO through Steam, my desktop standalone.

Buy the Steam DLC, log in with your steam MWO client, recieve the items, log out and back into your normal non-steam client, voila, enjoy your everything. Profit.

You'll have it all.

You can't purchase the Steam DLC if you don't have the MWO Steam client installed (the page says this DLC requires the base game). To get it on the regular client, you need to download and install MWO on Steam, purchase the package, log in to redeem it and then deinstalling the Steam client again (or keep it, of course).

I use steam without issue..... It's even better than the old client as downloads are automated. I haven't had to wait to patch since I switched.
