OK, mind you, some here aren't spending money (any more, or at all, etc), either.

And make no mistake, I think they have a lot of people in their art department working overtime. And I'm sure the programmers are willing and ready....if they got some direction to actually ADD something or Fix Something. But all the modelers, artists, programmers, etc..... can only do what they are directed to do by their bosses.

And it seems that direction is..... definitely not focused in a direction most of us have spent the last 4 years deluding ourselves it might someday turn to.

Yet every time a new (Inner Sphere... for me Clan Mechs are largely meh) Alex Concept piece drops... i start reaching for my wallet.

I'm still here because I'm a Mech Porn Addict.

But actually playing the game any more? MEH.

So that's me. Why are you still here?

I keep playing because WoT is 2 shot garbage, despite the fact that I keep playing. But, I keep playing because I haven't reached my tank goals, yet. So, I'm different.

I love Iggy's art and the game still has fun to be had. There is a game that is on the way for this franchise by PGI that they're going to give us and it'll work. They just need to figure it out.

I like how Mechwarrior games take what I like from BattleTech (big stompy robots with missiles, ballistics, and energy weapons) and puts them into a craftable simulator.
...

The problem with a PvP MechWarrior game like this is that the original source material doesn't agree with the concept of the (this) game. A PvE MechWarrior game is far more appropriate because you can keep things which should exist like Clan vs IS asymmetrical balance, difficulty of modifying a BattleMech, OmniMechs' superiority over BattleMechs, etc.

Who in their right mind would "request" a game where a high-powered cannon shell or a laser bolt will deL enough damage to rip through military armor like butter at X meters distance, but deal zero damage at X+1 meters? That is not only anti-sim, but just plain dumb.

Who would "request" a game where your 31st century battle vehicle stands a good chance of missing a stationary target at less than a quarter kilometer away? That's just sad.

How do you reconcile the fact that you accept that your 31st Century battle vehicle is so "dumb" that it;

- has missiles that can barely travel 1 kilometer?
- has computers who's mass is measured in TONS?
- Has metal melting lasers that can't travel more than a few hundred meters?

Seems like you are cherry-picking the things that you are willing to accept and disbelieve or won't accept. Just like you might claim Bishop is, but somehow you want others to believe that your system is the right system.

PvE content is needed. Russ has talked about it in the past and hopefully he's still working on it. but can it really be that hard to produce given that ALL the previous MW titles had missions/scenarios?

Short answer to your question, Bishop: Yes.

Coming from a whale with 180+ Mechs... who lost his illusions about what the game could have been...

Alex and the 3D modellers are the reason I`m sticking around.

Solaris is the perfect setup for competitive play and can include last man standing or team battle of different sizes as 4vs4, 8vs8, 12vs12. this way the competitive crowd for sure they would be happy about it and this way it would provide exactly the area they want and can include a variety of arena maps as well.

FP should be turned around to make it more as a role play environment, that thing as with the galaxy map is already a great setup for lower tier PvE and PvP

but that`s my opinion.

Alex seem to be the best of teh company. His artworks are amazing while the rest of the company and programmers and designers seem to be medicore at best. Everybody except him seem to lack vision and courage for the game

I play the game because I enjoy it. I spend money when I see stuff I want; my last two purchases were the Kodiak standard pack and the Catapult mastery pack, so I'm still spending.
