Hi Everyone.. My name is Russianwolf and I'm a Whale

I bought the top tier packs with all the trimming from Founders, to Phoenix, to Clan waves 1-3 (no gold mechs though), Resistance I and even the Urbie. Some MC packs and even a 1 year PT pack during a sale. But I stopped with the Urbie pack.

Just not enough game.

I still play some, but not as much and I continue buying mechs for cbills and will until I run out of MC to buy bays. Once I finish those bays I don't know what I'll do.

276 mechs (270 unique) and counting. All mastered.

I don't think I am a whale, though I spent about 200 dollars so far on this game in the span of only 6 months. That's way more than any other game by rate. I once spent about 300 bucks on MMORPG, but that's for 1 and half account over a 2 year subscription.

I am holding off on buying mechs unless they are interesting designs that I like. Specifically, bushwacker, uziel, hellhound, and nova cat. (MAYBE champion... that thing has potential to be cool)

I've bought every top level mech pack in the game, minus the Steam packs, mastery packs, and Gold packs. I've also maxed out every single mech collector's pack (meaning with heroes and reinforcements) up until the Phoenix Hawk. Since then, I've gotten the collector's packs but haven't bothered with the heroes and reinforcements. I haven't gotten the Linebacker yet and I'm not sure I will.

You know what, I think this here thread alone has inspired me enough to contact people in my old guild to try and sway them to give MWO a chance. Come to think of it several of them have become somewhat bored anyways and may indeed discover MWO to be quite refreshing as have I.

I think it's rather sad and pointless to continue to post on a game your never going to play again.

I'm currently playing after a month off.

I've bought every maximum mech pack up to the Viper, I cancelled it and the Night Gyr, I considered cancelling the Cyclops and Phoenix Hawk as well.

I said I wouldn't buy another clan mech again, and I will only buy Inner sphere mechs that have or might translate into DLC for HBS Battletech. so only mechs with a 3025 timeline

Having said that, I might purchase the Linebacker $20 because it's clearly not power creep, I like the Thunderbird 2 head, and I might as well spend money before Sterling completely collapses against the dollar, I have 22 days to make up my mind.

I guess that puts me in the spending still group, but I'm not grabbing everything just because its a new shiny

One of my latest pastimes has been to copy/paste the more vocal forum members names into the leaderboard search.

This is not so much to see their actual rank as that's somewhat of a bogus stat to begin with, but more so to just see how many games they've played. Been somewhat surprising to see just how few games they play. Get a kick out of it when their names don't even register as those apparently just log hours each day in the forums even though they haven't actually played since June 21st. Why they don't just move on is kind of funny, at least to me.

But yes, I've completely stopped while I wait to see what form PvE takes.

Original founder, bought most IS packs (don't do Clan mechs for personal reasons ) . Stopped spending money around the Archer. Little chance I will again (might buy a Bushwhacker though).

I feel the same way, I purchased everything. I cancelled the Ultimate Viper and Night Gyr packs, then reordered when they fixed the mini-map as I suddenly had my faith restored. It was short lived however when I realised that they killed Clan light Mechs, especially my beloved Jenner IIC's.

I wont be buying Huntsman and Linebacker. Seriously, whats the point? If they are good at launch, they'll eventually get nerfed into the ground.

If I add this account and my IS founder account, and all the MC purchases I made in-between packs for colours and 5h!t; I'm approaching $3.4K spent on this game to date.

I wont be buying anything else. This sperm whale has had a vasectomy.

If MWO has a strong point, it is mech redesings, the art team did a wonderful work there. I was very happy when i learned that MWO and HBS BT will share mech models, and i keep that in mind whenever an IS classic is released here.

Sometimes of us have more than 1 account.

Most of us, I suspect. Lets you post with 1 name and play with another.

I am absolutely a whale. I have stopped spending because I literally have too many damn mechs. I rarely play my clan mechs and I bought the gold package.

IMHO, collecting mechs for the sake of collecting and running amok in game with them is a great thing. Spending the insane amount of money on the latest ones... screw that! Not worth it.

I purchased the Phoenix Hawk package..the whole damn thing. I have played them all for like an hour.

Good point, though I somehow doubt most have an additional account just to post with unless perhaps they're emos in real life.

I like the linebacker, but I still haven't forgiven the art team for the Battlemaster
