Who's all playing Pokemon Go? I have to say the idea is genius and it's pretty cool to see how a game has had such a huge effect on people. In all honesty I had never played a Pokemon game or watched the TV show or movie, but I might give it a shot after this...

Me and my mate went for a 2 hour bike ride yestreday just to catch some pokemon. The fact that my brakes weren't working properly made it even better.

Also, I guess charmanda will be the best choice starter pokemon, since other plant and water pokemon are easy to get. But I generally prefer bulbasaur. :/ stuck betwen like and utility.

I think you have to go to Gyms to battle and level up? I haven't tried it yet...

Correct.
After reaching level 5, you can go to Gyms where the real fighting happens.Tho you will need to catch about 20 pokemon and visit about 20 pokestops to gather enough XP.

but this means you can't level your pokemon. yu just battle at a gym and level yourself as a trainer. or did i got that wrong?

While there are no levels for pokemon, you can still upgrade them.By catching pokemon you gain Stardust aswell as pokemon specific candies. Those are used to upgrade or evolve your pokemon.
Tho the combat itself is still very simple.Tap to attack, swipe to dodge.

So the Stardust is a permanent thing, it's not just a power-up for a certain amount of time?

It's 1:00 a.m. No I don't care. No I don't see it. Get out of my back yard. I don't care if Pidgey is there. GET OUT OF MY YARD!
Magicarp at the waste water treatment plant. Must be great. Enjoy the smell.
Junk yard with dog. Sandshrew. Lets see which one gets caught first, the Pokemon, or you (that Doverman hasn't had a good bite in days).
Please. If you are going to play this game pay attention to where you are going. Lets see rough neighbor hood vs. the pokemon you just gotta have. Yep. They like to see new victims, sorry, visitors.

I don't play, but I think I saw one running around on Terra Therma yesterday.

I believe they're working on new battle mechanics. The current one is just a placeholder I think (hope).
