Probably not. The MDD is a missile boat first and foremost, and PPCs and UACs are not very good companions for SRMs. The UAC2s need to be boated for any real effect, and the MDD just doesn't have the hardpoints for that. Its laser mounts are all in the arms, which means you have to expose like 60% of your mech to pop somebody with an ERPPC, which is just a waste of the mech.

Perhaps UAC-5s,ATMs,and ERMLs, since UAC-5s you only need one or two.

The MDD doesn't have the tonnage to split it up like that. My -H runs 2 ATM12s, 3 HMLs and a Light Tag and it works beautifully, but running a pair of UAC5s is not worth running less than ATM24 just to fit it on the mech. A single UAC5 is also a waste of tonnage, because you can get MORE damage out of two ERMLs (or the same damage from a single HML) with no ammo required, no need to lead shots, and more tonnage for missile ammunition or heatsinks.

The long and short of it is this: If you're gonna make a mixed build on the MDD that isn't missiles with laser backup weapons, you're wasting a very solid chassis doing something it isn't designed for.

I hear and believe what you say but I want to try a Bandit in the crucible of war.

Mixed and matched the pods on the solaris madog and came up with this with no skills yet. Going to run it in qp for a while and build up some skills in survival and firepower.

Yes. Its from the solaris pack and has a custom skin and cbill boost. First match was 591 damage 2 kills and 5 assists but we lost. Spreads damage superbly. Heat is a bit of an issue but that will change with points into cool run and heat management. I suppose until then I could downgrade to er meds and stick in more sinks and maybe a tc.

The solaris urbie is sweet too. Four energy and two projectile make it a slightly different 60l but unlike the 60l it has a generic 10% cooldown, range and velocity quirk set in addition to the 13% heat dissipation and armor set. Plus it caps out at a 210 engine so with speed tweak you can get it into the 120kph range and still have enough tons for a decent weapons loadout and full armor.

Sounds like the Solaris pack is worth it if just for the Revenant.

The kraken looks nice too. More or less a copy of the loyalty atlas but with two less missile hardpoints and one additional energy but has a generic 10% range and cooldown quick and a full set of armor quirks. This is going to be a tanky laser vomit brawler with a nice ballistic punch.

Even the firestarter has a twist in that its energy mounts are high shoulder so you can poptart with ease with dual ppc but still have enough tonnage left for some mg spam in the arms. Forget the flamers unless its a fetish.

With the 30 days premium and multiple extras like warhorns and statues and decals its a great deal for those with few mechs or are just starting out.

Which Mad Dog is it the Revenant or Bandit that has -20% UAC jam? I hope it is the Bandit, right now it is cheaper to acquire.
