I am very disapointed with SUPPLY CACHES Posted Image

As I had some 500+ MC left after buying the Vindicator Mastery Pack and some DECALS, I have bought 5 keys until now to open supply caches with tempting content like BNC or HGN battlemechs ... all i got until now is USELESS 5H1T like SRM4, PPC, mL, UAV and 250k !

From my point of view it currently looks like none of the supply caches are worth the 25 which you need to open it Posted Image

Were you expecting to get the "top prize" mech in every single cache you opened?

The way that spinning wheel spins around slows down on a good item and then speeds up just enough to slipp over on to the next but worthless item is exasperating.
I only oppened one!
But I think that was enough.
I never had luck in casinos anyway.

what they need to do with the crap stuff like srms and flamers ,mls ..etc instead of just one u get 100 srms (not the ammo)

i think getting a 100 of any thing it would take some of the sting out of getting well crap

I would be VERY surprised if the drop rate of mechs is more often than 1 out of 100 caches opened.

just sell the damn things, at least you're guaranteed some CBills

My problem with the supply cache is there is nothing unique in them. I already have the mechs I want so the grand prize isn't really that grand to me.

This is basically a lottery. This means that the organizer, in this case PGI, has made it so that they earn money on this, as such, the average winning will be less, probably far less, than 25 MC.

And for me it's the exact opposite : I'm very very happy that there ISN'T unique, supply-crate-only items in there, because that would mean a real Pay To Win scheme in the game, even more so if said items were actually better than the "standard" items you can buy ingame.

Could you imagine having a very good weapon that you can only get by spending real money and trying your luck hundreds of times in a lottery ? That would mean spending tons of real life, hard-earned money for a small chance at being competitive ...

Praise be to all the Higher Powers and your divinity of choice that PGI didn't do that.

Once more : don't like the content, or don't "need" them ? Ignore the keys and sell the box.

But even a bittervet with everything could still open the crates and sell the Big Prizes for CBills, allowing them to, I don't know, actually buy what they want or inject some cash in the unit coffers ?

CBills are never useless, I think ...

More like he, any everyone else, thinks that they should all get the best outta these dumb *** caches for the stupid NINE CENTS it costs to open, if your dumb enough to actually buy them.

Fool and his money and all that...

Not even Valve is stupid to add this pay2win scheme. all the hundred $ knifes and weapons you see in GS:GO work exactly the same as your default knifes and weapons they are just extra shiny. That said nothing prevents PGI to place unique decals or patterns in to supply cache system.

Nothing is more immersive in the mechwarrior online experience than a good post game round of slots. What more could you whiners want in "a battletech game"? They've given us: the lights! The bling! The Casinos! Everything's better with a bit of Vegas BABY!

On that note: can we get a new map based on the strip, where we can stomp through the Bellagio and knock down the facade of New York, New York and blast that stupid monorail? Give us that map and I promise I won't post anymore snark about stupid goodie crates.

If it's good enough for Mario, it's good enough for MWO.

I do wish there were a bit more MC trinkets to win in the caches, but as it is now, I don't think 25MC is worth about the same as a match worth of C-Bills.

I still assume that probabilities for each of the 8 items are equal (1/8), be it a heat sink or an assault mech.

If it should turn out that this is false, then Supply Caches are a fraud from PGI, tricking people into wasting money under a false impression.
If it is true:
Grow up and learn how to handle gambling.

You always play against the bank and the gambling even only exists in the first place because in the _LONG_ run, it makes the bank more money than it loses.

They stated in patch notes the chances aren't equal and quite frankly I wouldn't believe them if they did say they were equal. In any slot machine the weaker bonuses are weighted heavier because it works off the endorphine rush you get from gambling. They want the incentive for you to start and the system does the rest.

Just sell them for the 50K C-Bills, take it as a bonus for the match and move on. If you decide to play the game and whatever you get will sell for more than 50K then you should not complain.

If it really bothers you that much then start lobbying PGI for an OPT out button so you are never awarded a cache.

Supply Caches are exactly what I and the rest of the community predicted they would be. Mediocre™.

i think ive been awarded like 4 caches since the patch. granted i did take a week off after the last event, i have been playing for a couple days now and i haven't won a single cache despite a large pile of victories. except maybe the one event prize (which i sold because it didnt have any good prizes in it, save the free key for a good cache). if pgi's intentions are to open a casino, its a very crappy casino where there arent enough slot machines to go around and people have to wait in line for their turn for hours sometimes days. then they pull and have a very low chance at winning anything that they dont have 50 of in their warehouse already.
