Just wondering if any AP units would be keen on this.
http://proxis.us/rules.php

I think if we can get enough AP units, we might be able to form up our own league play for this.

CGBI currently has a team in the current season for proxis, we have at least 4-5 oceanic guys that participate in this regularly with the rest of our NA and EU brothers and sisters.

But getting an APAC league would be pretty sweet.

I just play US for Proxis when work/life permits.

The Oceanic population isn't enough to sustain something like that and actually get matches IMO.

It's been nearly impossible just to organise scrims as part of the PGI Tourney.

Too many are spread over so many units

I meant for our guys to actually get organised etc. As a casual mob, it's nigh on impossible.

There might be enough comp Oceanic teams to get Proxis going, in a small capacity? But I don't believe that is the case given how many are casual (just look at how many teams have now pulled out, and we haven't even started lol Posted Image).

If something gets up, I'd try support it of course, like anything MWO - If I can get behind it, I'll try Posted Image

Proxis isn't on CW maps is it?

The Proxis stuff I've done so far with the US side of our unit were all QP maps
(honestly I've not looked at it in detail yet, I need to over w/e).

all of the proxis matches use the quick play maps, each planet has a map assigned to it and certain conditions like for example one planet has no large lasers available.

All matches are either 3 of 12v12 or 1 of 4v4 and 2 of 8v8.

Even if you are not comp minded it is quite fun as a unit trying to manage your planets, drop ships, mechs and resources.

Are you guys doing the US side mate?

Or maybe we could look into 1-2 Oceanic units/players merging into one team? If it helps get enough spread of people during Oceanic perhaps?

Just throwing ideas out there.

Hence why I was asking. If we can get enough Oceanic units willing to give it a go... we could try to kick off Oceanic.. just saying

It sounds like a lot of fun. I think a large contributor to burnout is tournament/league duration. MRBC and BfM have been awesome sitting in the 6-10 week range while WC is 20+ and seems to be taxing a few units. I like the idea of AP Proxis, but am concerned at how well we can sustain it alongside the other comps given that Proxis is longer running. A more simplified map, tweaked ruleset specific to AP and planned fight nights will help. That said, I am super keen to finally have comp 12v12.

I would be happy to contribute as a grunt to a Proxis thing (note I have no idea what this is besides a more RPG type MWO comp).
