Wonder how many stock mechs can alpha higher than that and then wont be able to fire all their weapons without this new convoluted mechanic messing them up?
Boar's head for one

What does stock loadout has to do with alpha limit anyway? People can still chain fire it. Direwhale-Prime couldn't alpha without severely overheating even before ED. And don't even get me started on Nova-Prime.

(You should change the title to something about ED and stock mechs).

On release, yes, but after bunch of quirks and the size reduction, loadout such as 10 CSPL Nova is pretty decent now.

You have me there, but as a Liao says: two Wongs don't make a right.
I suppose instead of offering advice to help you avoid those nasty CoC violations I can just hit the report button.

Hello, I'm a Nova Prime lore build user. With ED, I can't fire half of my weapons without going over the ED limit. I'm also a Mad Dog Prime lore build user. With ED, I can't fire my lasers without going over the ED limit. Yes, a Mad Dog firing 4 lasers technically goes over the limit. This is why Spooky Energy is a problem for me.

Or some should learn to not use the alpha as their main shooting tactic.....?
Alphas were very risky in lore and should be used with caution. But MWO wannabe leets think otherwise and if its not like they want, the game's mechanics are wrong.....sure right.....

Oh? Please quote in lore where it says that using all the weapons at once is "Lore". Thanks.
If you cant then be quiet.

because even 30 damage is gonna lead to getting instakilled when you have 12v12
the problem is all the focus fire that was added in 12v12, thats what made TTK plummet
the current levels of armor/structure cant handle the damage you take in 12v12
we need to go back to 8v8 so theres less focus fire going around
