What Is The Requirement For Hit N Run?

So I've been running ECM ACH and basically just snipe and run away (even though I dun have to) in attempt to simulate a "hit and run" motion.
But nothing... haven't been able to do it twice in a game when consciously trying to do it.
Is there some requirements like,
You have to run a certain distance after the hit?
Enemy can't be aware of your location?
Can't be in FOV?
Must be within a certain distance of the hit?
Must do a certain amount of damage?
Cause plenty of times, I would apply damage, go out of FOV from everyone, and not get the Hit N Run. (no damage receive from return fire, if there are any) Anyone know the exact mechanics?

Be aware that it is a textwall written in the 5 first posts in the guide. But it contains maps and step by step guidance.
MWO: Forums - Non Meta Light Mech Tactics Guide.
My M.R.M.A. tactics are not perfect and neither am i but i do know that if PGI decides to launch Energy Draw in one month my tactics won't change.
I feel confident of that fact because they didn't change back when Ghost Heat arrived either.

This was about the event? I never even looked at the event stuff so i thought he was asking for advice on how to do hit and runs.
Oh well...Whenever i do things right i can get everywhere from 5 to 15 hit and runs. Might help to read my guide....might not.

• A hit and run “Score” is generated based off an engagement.
• Every point of damage dealt counts for 1 point of score.
• Every point of damage taken counts for -2 points of score.
• If score is greater than 10, you are awarded with a hit and run award.
• If the total damage taken during the engagement is greater than 15 the score is zeroed and no award is given.
Thanks, that's exactly what I am looking for. Basically, 2 ERPPC SHC. Done!

Does anyone know what period of time dealing and taking no damage constitutes 'unengaged' for each weight class?
