So the parallel is that last year you purchased a new refrigerator and benefited from a $100 dollar rebate check. This year the manufacturer announces a new rebate program for all refrigerators purchased this year. So your thought process is that "hey" I purchased a refrigerator last year and qualified for last years refund check. What the hell? Why are they not sending me another refund check like the people that bought a refrigerator this year. ..
Yeah, that it isn't what people are talking about.
A correct version of your example would be along these lines of...
Last year you purchased four new refrigerators and received a $100 dollar rebate check for the first one but not the other three. This year the manufacturer announces a new rebate program for all refrigerators purchased this year. So your thought process is that hey I purchased 3 refrigerators last year that didn't qualify for last years refund check because I already qualified with the first one plus I bought 4 more mini-refrigerators this year so I should qualify for this years right? Wait... I don't and I am being told I am not a loyal customer even though I did in fact buy a refrigerator this year???

No, what you are being told is you don't qualify for the loyalty rewards for this year because you did not make your qualify purchase during the qualifying time frame. Has nothing to do with a statement of your loyalty or disregarding the fact that you made other purchases. The fact is you made your purchases outside of the qualifying time frame or purchased things that don't qualify.
Seriously, when i worked in retail I dealt with customers like this all the time. Customer would buy something. Then a month or so would go by and we would put the same item on sale. They would come back in and ask for a rebate based on the sale price. They chose to buy when the bought and they did it without consideration that it might go on sale. All choices they made and suddenly we were bad because we put it on sale after they made their purchase....really?!? I just bought a care a while back. Six weeks after the purchase they introduced a rebate program. I didn't make my purchase during the qualifying time frame, but I did purchase a qualifying car. By your logic I should 1) decide they are saying something about me personally as a customer and 2) give me the rebate even though I don't qualify. Really?!? Whatever, princess...
Get a grip and grow up. No one owes you anything because you bought something more than a year ago. No one owes you anything if you don't qualify. Using your example, if the terms of the rebate said you get $100 rebate for up to one qualifying refrigerator purchased within the prescribed time frame, and you got the $100, you have no entitlement to $100 this year unless you made qualifying purchases within the qualifying time frame. PERIOD!
Now, if PGI ever decides to do some sort of 'Long Time Supporter Rewards' and puts out terms that you qualify for, but they then say you don't, you have a case. But otherwise, shut up and grow up.

Sorry I totally disagree. I guess I just don't understand your logic. To you your point is clear and to me my view is clear. We won't convince each other.
Dates are easy, calendars are cheap and the opening and closing dates of the program are easy. I qualify for more than this year's event rewards. Next year if I spend 0 dollars I expect 0 rewards.

The Reward Program for these Packs then are only for Players who joined during the last year and purchased it the.
This is no "loyality program" it is a "what have you done for me lately" program.
This is my point!
Last year I qualified for the loyality reward for buying wave III and after that I bought the origin IIC pack last year in July.
Aaaah whatever I will stop giving PGI money.

This.
According to the latest update of the req lists, the Bushwacker should count already ... I just cracked and preordered the Collector's Pack for it (I was going to wait a bit, but I sold some minis I don't use anymore and had just enough cash for it), but it looks like I'll have to wait a bit for the qualifycation to update ... or contact support.
Regarding the definition of "loyalty" : there's a notion of time and repetition in that word, meaning that buying something once a year ago doesn't make you "loyal", it makes you a "customer".
A "Loyal Customer" is someone that buys several things several times per year, every single reward program I've seen in my 42 years of life work on the same principle. The more you buy, and the more often you buy, the more rewards you get.
Heck, when I put diesel in the tank of my car, I get a "point" for every two liters if I use the same pump, and when I got to 500 points I get a voucher for free liters ... same idea : the more liters I put in, the more rewards I'll get.
Of course, if you want to argue semantics, the term "Loyalty Reward Program" is not very well chosen ... something like "Continued Support of the Game Reward Program" would be more easy to grasp, but then that would mean renaming the "event", a much longer title, and probably more confusion since "Continued Support" does not include a time limit.

If you qualifed for them they will be injected into your account once you log in, and you won't lose it if you don't login or anything.

While you are truthful in what you are saying about your own comments, what you are saying is 'I should get something even though I don't qualify as outlined in the rewards program.' So, this is about you and nothing to do with how PGI set up the program.
WarHippy, on 12 September 2016 - 06:29 AM, said:
Sorry your feelings are hurt. Yes it is called a 'Customer Loyalty' program, but as I said before it is not saying anything about you personally or your loyalty. All such programs have guidelines and rules (no matter what company is offering them). Could PGI have done it differently? Sure. Would that have made everyone happy? No. It is what it is. Companies have to make cost analysis decisions about these sort of things. You didn't qualify. Move on. I didn't qualify last year. My bad, not PGI's. Maybe I will qualify next year (if they have one) and maybe I won't. Who knows. One of my friends who plays a lot does not qualify. I don't see a lot of salt flowing from him. Again, it is what it is.
