Loyality Rewards

Just call it a Customer Rewards program.
I'll get 2 of the 5 rewards open to me (I don't do clans) and that's fine but it isn't rewarding me for my long term loyalty. Its rewarding for my current (within the last year) support.

- "Great, where is my free yogurt?"
- "Sir... But you have to buy 3 yogurts first"
- "I did! I bought 2 yougurts last monday and 2 on friday. That's even more than you need".
- "Excuse me, but you have to buy 3 yogurts today"...
- "I told you already, I bought 4 yogurts!"
- "Sorry, it happened a week ago. To participate in our programm you need to buy them today".
- "Damn you greedy hypocrites!"

I will reiterate for you again that I don't care about getting the rewards myself I only want them to fix their poorly thought version of the program. Heck, if it would get them to fix it I would happily volunteer to be blocked from ever receiving loyalty rewards.

I have no malice against you at all, but I would suggest you are the one missing something here, not me. Go back and read your own post and then look at the replies people made to your posts. From the beginning virtually everyone has interpreted your comments the same way I have. If the overwhelming majority of people are reading you that way, the problem is not with other people, but either 1) your argument or 2) how you are explaining yourself. I completely get where you are coming from and have just chosen to restate your position in more basic terms. I just disagree with the basis of your argument regarding this specific giveaway program. I think your position is fallacious and have clearly stated why. You may 'think' I am off on a tangent, but I am speaking right to the point of your position.
To say you 'don't care' about qualifying is obviously disingenuous. You have gone on repeatedly and vehemently defending your view point. It is obvious you care a lot, which is OK with me. If you truly don't care, then why go on and on like you have? As far as I can tell no one in the community elected WarHippy their spokesperson to address their grievances concerning PGI's giveaway program. So, you are speaking solely for yourself which mean it is all about you.
So, where do you and I agree? Well, could PGI have used a better thought process in putting this program together? Certainly. I think (to your earlier point) excluding people that paid for something through the early adopter program for a mech that qualified after the early adopter program was not optimal). Could they have chosen a better naming convention? Yes. If they are equating $$$ with loyalty, then the rewards should be based on the amount of money spent and not what packages were purchased. This would have been much better and would have eliminated so much salt. Saying "Hey, Mr or Ms Mechwarrior: you spent $$$ during time frame X to Y which qualifies you for our loyalty reward program" is better than the way most companies use legalese.
Where do we disagree? Well, what PGI did is pretty standard across the industry but also retail in general. In that regard the naming of their program and their qualifying conditions are not out of line or even wrong. They are just not optimal. Every company that does this sort of thing whether a rebate, reward, cash back, discount, whatever, has both qualifiers and conditions. They could have drawn the line elsewhere (and maybe even better), but they did not do anything unusual. Either a person qualifies per the terms PGI set out or they do not. Simple as that.

I'm not getting anything for buying the Wrath pack and 3/4 of Clan Wave III over a year ago. Not really sure it's a problem though.

(At least, I think I already got my rewards for those purchases...?)
If I was concerned, it'd be more that I bought packs and Heroes this year but these don't qualify because I didn't buy 'collectors' Mechs.
In my view Collectors Mechs are PGI's version of "phoning-it-in" knock offs... existing Mechs with an extra letter attached to them - that cost an extra $20 (!)
Crazy lazy.

Whatever, lets do it again:
This "loyalty" program has nothing to do with loyalty, but everything to do with getting you to make purchases you might not otherwise would make.
Offer a unique set of products as a loyalty reward in exchange for some specialty purchases, and leave the window for making those purchases (and thus getting those rewards) open for a set time and what happens? A lot of folks willingly, or not so willingly (gotta catch em all!) make the necessary purchases to get those rewards. By using loaded terms like" loyalty", it further encourages the customer to make the purchase, since after all no one wants to be "disloyal" do they?
This is about "rewarding" us with stuff to get us to buy stuff. Nothing more. Calling it a "loyalty" reward just helps PGI with that goal.

I play this game very randomly now. Like most others its just a quick log in, play a match...log out. While this game can be fun at times and the need for my mech fix gets the better of me I have to say that I can spend anymore money on this title. Lets hope 2017 is a better year for MWO, cos currently the rest of 2016 is just quicksand imho.
