So, here I am trying to build a DakkaBear, and the damned thing won't let me.

I have stripped it, build it, and errored three times

Am I going to have to go, step by step, saving each time to get this ******* thing to work?

It's not like it'll matter. No-one actually using the test server so we can't test fighting each other.

And saving a dozen times solved it...

I ended up selecting another mech, going back and re-selecting the mech that would not save. It looked like it became unsync with the server.

Sounds like a new bug...

I kinda assume potentially some new code was involved (trying to merge new codebases), but it failed somewhere in between.
