So... this year PGI did not gave us any new ligth mechs, and for January 2017 there's the Bushwaker.

Time to give us another ligth, PGI?? i will buy the Ultimate Pack, if that is what concern you :3

Don't want to whine, but I too would appreciate more light mechs in the game. This game is too heavily-oriented towards heavies.

I would pay real world bucks for an Urbie IIC, a Raptor, a Piranha, or a Hollander.

I would probably also give serious consideration to the Cougar, Flea, or Razorback.

Or, if a guy can dream a bit, a Toro. Extinct 'Mech, never gonna happen, still want one.

Y'know what? Screw it. I will buy the top-tier packages plus reinforcements and heroes of the first two 'Mechs PGI releases from the above. Plus the heroes of every light I currently own but do not already have a hero of. Aaaaand... go. Seriously. Stop adding more heavies and mediums, get up, get some coffee, grab a snack, have a quickie, then go make some more lights.

I treat the Viper as a light. It's just a little bit bigger but apart from that it's basically a light mech.
But i agree that i too want more. I do best in lights, so the more toys i got to play with, the better. Posted Image

I'm hoping for either Raptor, Locust IIC or Piranha next.

I would gladly pay (well maybe not gladly but I likely would pay) for a Stinger. Jumping Locust? Yes, please.

I believe someone at PGI confirmed Flea at some point, yes? Memory fuzzy on that but my ingame compatriots assure me I didn't imagine it.

It was never added because it goes too fast, causing technical problems.

So I got bored and had a look on Sarna to see the options we have left for Lights.
Omissions - LAMs, Quads, anything produced after 3053 - same year as the Bushwacker

Clan
20 tons
Fire Moth
Howler
Piranha

25 tons
Commando IIC
Fire Falcon
Locust IIC

30 tons
Incubus
Mandrill
Urbanmech IIC

35 tons
Horned Owl
Wolfhound IIC*

Inner Sphere
20 tons
Fireball
Flea
Hornet
Mercury
Stinger
Thorn
Wasp

25 tons
Dart
Icestorm
Jackrabbit
Mongoose
Raptor
Sling
Super Wasp*

30 tons
Battle Hawk
Falcon
Firefly
Hammer
Hermes
Hussar
Javelin
Scarabus
Valkyrie

35 tons
Firebee
Night Hawk
Ostscout
Rattlesnake*
Spector
Talon
Toro
Venom

*Then I'll remove some for... reasons. PGI made up a lot of the IIC variants, so lack of variants doesn't mean it will be excluded.

Super Wasp - Prototype only - Wasp Hero 'mech instead?
Wolfhound IIC - Only 1 confirmed to be produced - Wolfhound Hero 'mech instead?
Rattlesnake - Apocryphal, Jenner variant - Jenner Hero 'mech instead?

That still leaves a whole lot of 'mechs Posted Image

Great listing Jay
Personally I do see the IIC variants eventually being released. From a business point of view, the IICs would sell and from an "arsenal" point of view, the IIC lights would fill a lot of gaps on the clan side.

The IS side I have less faith in a lot of those mechs sadly. Too much of the same thing over and over. You can only do so much with 20-35 tons right?

If I had wishes to spare?
IICs
Valkyrie
Stinger
Scarabus
Night Hawk

Just my 2cb. Locust IIC first please :)

THIS. THIS. THIS.

Edit:

And not just because the Mercury is the springing board for OmniMechs! Dear goodness. Such a lovely list!

I can see a Wolfhound Hero mech in the near future so PGI can start selling Mastery Packs, same with the Panther (Grinner and Katana Kat)

The Jackal would be interesting consider the high mounted PPC, the Specter would be evil if done right.

Good money ether the Incubus or Fire Falcon will be the next Clan Light, I wouldn't count on the Piranha only because a Machine Gun Spider still gets glitchy in game, a Piranha release event may crash servers. Why else wouldn't a game company called Piranha Games not release a mech named Piranha.

Some of those on the list are put just because they go too fast for the engine to handle, same as the Flea. What I would like to see is a dual Wasp/Stinger release. Basic pack has 3 of each, hero package comes with heros for both chassis, etc. PGI can reuse a huge percent of the assets for both mechs (running animations, leg geometry, etc), and it would get around the player complaint of spending the same amount of real world $ for lights mechs as stuff like the Kodiak.

That or a Hollander with some baller gauss perks.
