I'll install it just so I can play an Elemental or an Aerotech!

It would be cool if MWLL developed a sort of "progression" or RPG element, so we could buy mechs and keep them.

Why? You can just grab any mech or tank you want and then select camo. No grind, no purchases, nothing.

That would invalidate the in-game "economy" balancing mechanic, where you have to earn cash to buy mechs inside of the match rather than having any form of persistence. It would be like Counter Strike if you could equip an AWP immediately at the start of every match.

I'll play it for sure. Bought Crysis Wars back in 2011 just for that purpose, until PGI shut it down.

I did dream of someone giving PGI some competition for their IP so Russ would get off his arse and stop making mech packs.

MW:LL doesn't have single player.
MWO doesn't have single player.

MW:LL doesn't try to pretend that it gives a damn about story or single player gamers.
MWO dangled a carrot in front of our noses and gave us promises it would later break about a game mode that gave an overall point to running on the hamster wheel.

I was tricked into sticking around with MWO, and still cling to the frail hope that one day there'll be something worth playing all this grind for. Also because there are no closer alternatives to what someone who likes the MechWarrior universe likes.
At least MW:LL has it clearly labelled on the tin that I'm not going to like what's inside. AEROSPACE! GRAPHICS! TANKS! POWER ARMOR GRAND THEFT AUTO OH BOY! But then the match ends and you get to push that rock back up the mountain all over again.

This will be an interesting test of the theory that original development was ceased voluntarily. How quickly do lawyers act generally?

Days to a week? It all depends on how much PGI is willing to shell out for a speedy delivery, just like package shipping.

I had a full server earlier, 25 players

MRMs are fun

A peak of 41...which is high. But you only need 2 to play

wasn't able to get on huntress, there were 8 players there, i presumed it was because they were on 7.1 or whatever version the old one was (said my files were different). i was playing on the discord server, with only one or two other players. still tweaking things, it takes awhile to get controls and stuff configured. got my vtols and aerotech working, tanks, and mechs are playable but need work, hovercraft have never been playable, even when i used to play back in the day. definately interested in playing durring peak hours though, as soon as i figure out what they are.

Well its good to see something like this.

MWO has some competition now, and a strong one at that, since many of the current players used to play MWLL, and are not happy with MWO, so are liable to switch back.

I've seen a lot of MWLL nostalgia, and I sincerely hope that Russ and PGI sees this, and it makes them think..

Why would players choose an old MW game to revive, when they can buy a MWO mech pack?

Something to think about, PGI? Posted Image
