If you want an honest answer I would get the Kintaro mastery bundle now for $23 in the web store or wait until cyber Monday and get the same thing for $21.9 worth of MC + two extra mechbays though the in game store. That purchase would give you a lot of c-bill farming potential between the hero bonus and the premium time.

Every other for money option is ripoff in my opinion.

If want to lurm cheaply the Huchback-4J is pretty good.

Griffins can all lurm decently but more importantly you can get the GRF-2N which can be built into a superlative ECM SRM brawler and should be in everyone's garage.

In the heavy class the Catapult is pretty flexible owing to the large number of hardpoints. C-bill variants only, the heroes seem a poor value to me.

Another option is purchasing the new hero Timberwolf for $20 which ships November 15th. The Timberwolf will never be obsolete. If you tire of missile builds you can still use the chassis for boosted earnings with other loadouts.

Orion-IIC. Every variant has missile hardpoints and all with the maximum number of missile tubes

Maddog, 6 lrm5, chain fire for constant annoyance

4 MPLas, for brawling purpose

lot of ammo and don't make the mistake of getting rid of the MPLas.

In answerbto your specifics: a hero missile boat, in medium or heavy class...

...Golden Boy (Kintaro), the Butterbee (Catapult). You of course can include missiles on a Tempest (Archer), but is even less of a boat than the BB.

One of my all time fav's is Awesome 8R its an assualt but makes a good boat. Load mine with 2x LRM 15 and 2x LRM 10 quirks load 15 about as fast as 10's. Through on Tag for direct fire goodness and smooosh

Golden boy good one as noted already.

Hunchback SP made for a nice small LRMer

Go to Smurfy and check quircks to find one fits you best.

Catapult, with the C4 you can go either way (SRM Splatcat or LRM Barrage-apult) the C1 does well with 2 LRM-15s and the A1 can run both SRMs and LRMs at once. The Butterbee is a solid missile boat hero. The K1 is a ballistic energy brawler or sniper depending on the build and Jester is a energy boat through and through. The Cat is fairly tough 'Mech for a 65 tonner and has done right by me.

The Kintaro suggestion is also a valid one and the Trenchbucket still seems to work ok though that wouldn't be my first choice anymore, which saddens me Posted Image

QFE!!!

There are exactly two ways how to play that game.
The 1. right one and 2. LRMs.

But if it really really floats your boat I'd go for the good ole Catapult.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...37fce68787211ca

Fast, cool, relatively "ECM proof", at least some weapons to throw at pesky lights and and thanks to JJs good maneuverability.

On a plus side: if you want to master it you could also get a Catapult K2 (one of the most versatile Mechs in the game -> dual gauss, dual ac 20, dual ppc + gauss, uac 5 or ac 10 spam -> all possible) and a Catapult A1 as SRM bomb.

I won a XL315 engine in a supply cache one time, found that it happened to fit in a catapult C4 I had bought a year ago and hated. I stuck the super fast engine on there and shuffled things around and tested some stuff, then finally loaded a BAP artemis and TAG laser on it with 4 lrm5's and like a Sm pulse laser and took it out for a week. It was surprisingly versatile, very fast lock on times, some jump jets and the speed to kite very well. I chain fired missiles, got my own locks, moved as a team with brawlers, and felt superior in the rare shoot outs with other boats.

Being fast enough to scout a firing lane, get a lock, apply lurms while still being fast enough to force poor laser shots and some missed ppc/gauss feels powerful, then ducking behind larger brawlers and maintaining dps while not crowding the firing line for others really felt like it had a place. Stay with the heard and on the move made it hard for lights to ambush me, though it does happen. I rarely felt like a burden, aside from the tunnel and under the dock in Crimson straight, but even there I could get some dps on target from 200m, before the missiles choose an angle that sent them to the roof.

Trebuchet Loup De Guerre
300XL (104 KPH) 1 Double Heat Sink one Jump jet
4LRM 5's
2 Med Lasers
9 tons ammo

Fast enough to 1 stay close to the battle 2 get out of trouble faster than you got into it.
Elited (Fast Fire) LRM. 5 cool down...like water out of a hose

Note use chain fire.
