I haven't been on mwo in ages, and I just decided to get back into it and I'm just looking for a good missile boat build, im not a huge fan assaults, im more of a medium-heavy kinda guy ya know, are there any good hero mechs for this too?

Every other for money option is ripoff in my opinion.
If want to lurm cheaply the Huchback-4J is pretty good.
Griffins can all lurm decently but more importantly you can get the GRF-2N which can be built into a superlative ECM SRM brawler and should be in everyone's garage.
In the heavy class the Catapult is pretty flexible owing to the large number of hardpoints. C-bill variants only, the heroes seem a poor value to me.
Another option is purchasing the new hero Timberwolf for $20 which ships November 15th. The Timberwolf will never be obsolete. If you tire of missile builds you can still use the chassis for boosted earnings with other loadouts.

4 MPLas, for brawling purpose
lot of ammo and don't make the mistake of getting rid of the MPLas.

...Golden Boy (Kintaro), the Butterbee (Catapult). You of course can include missiles on a Tempest (Archer), but is even less of a boat than the BB.

Golden boy good one as noted already.
Hunchback SP made for a nice small LRMer
Go to Smurfy and check quircks to find one fits you best.

The Kintaro suggestion is also a valid one and the Trenchbucket still seems to work ok though that wouldn't be my first choice anymore, which saddens me

QFE!!!
There are exactly two ways how to play that game.
The 1. right one and 2. LRMs.
But if it really really floats your boat I'd go for the good ole Catapult.

Fast, cool, relatively "ECM proof", at least some weapons to throw at pesky lights and and thanks to JJs good maneuverability.
On a plus side: if you want to master it you could also get a Catapult K2 (one of the most versatile Mechs in the game -> dual gauss, dual ac 20, dual ppc + gauss, uac 5 or ac 10 spam -> all possible) and a Catapult A1 as SRM bomb.

Being fast enough to scout a firing lane, get a lock, apply lurms while still being fast enough to force poor laser shots and some missed ppc/gauss feels powerful, then ducking behind larger brawlers and maintaining dps while not crowding the firing line for others really felt like it had a place. Stay with the heard and on the move made it hard for lights to ambush me, though it does happen. I rarely felt like a burden, aside from the tunnel and under the dock in Crimson straight, but even there I could get some dps on target from 200m, before the missiles choose an angle that sent them to the roof.

300XL (104 KPH) 1 Double Heat Sink one Jump jet
4LRM 5's
2 Med Lasers
9 tons ammo
Fast enough to 1 stay close to the battle 2 get out of trouble faster than you got into it.
Elited (Fast Fire) LRM. 5 cool down...like water out of a hose
Note use chain fire.
