Hello everyone. I have a proposal on how to fix jumpjets. I wish to return their thrust to levels at or near to what they were before we got "hoverjets". "But Mole," you say, "then the poptart meta will return!". With my proposed change, it will not. As it currently stands, firing your weapons at the same time that your jumpjets are being fired causes your weapons to become extremely inaccurate. This is good, but once you let off the thrust even if you are still in the air, your fire becomes accurate again. People can still poptart quite well with this as they simply thrust until they achieve the height they desire and then cut their jumpjets and fire as they begin to fall. What I propose would put an end to this, give us real jumpjets again, while at the same time ensuring that the poptart meta stays dead and buried. I propose that the inaccurate weapons fire that comes with firing your jumpjets and weapons at the same time applies not only when firing jumpjets, but while your 'mech is in the air and falling. This means that using jumpjets to try and poptart would be pointless because you'd barely ever be able to hit anything while in the air, and jumpjets are now for increased mobility and nothing more. Now that the pop tart meta cannot return, we can have jumpjets that actually make us jump again. Please let me and PGI know in this poll what you think about this idea.
