I've always wondered how wizards in the Potter 'verse would stand up to fast jets, automatic weapons and bvr artillery. Surely against a Battlemech they don't stand a fighting chance? Is there a spell that can block a PPC?

Well, the problem with magic is that its magic. The problem with battletech is that its mostly magic. Also I just wanted to say this is the best thread, and I think its going places.

is there a spell that can stop a nuke machine-gun artillery or modern tactics?
we don't need mechs just viable targeting data

During one of my excursions on World of Woosies I was challenged to a duel by a L5 Wizard type char. I was a L25 Barbarian. The rule was only magic. So I hit him with my sword. 1 hit kill. When he complained I had to explain the magic was in the sword. When small skinny speccy gets a PPC discharged rammed down his throat all the magic in the fantasy world will not save him.
