Run Hot or Die (RHoD) is back! But, times have changed, and so have the league. Gone is the old web site, and at least temporarily, gone is the league format with multiple weeks of scheduled matches. Instead, we are going to get started with a single-day 4v4 tournament for NA teams (EU tournament will take place in the future). 4v4 brings incredible action, highlighting the skill of both individual players and teams.

This single day tournament will take place on January 8th from 3pm est to approximately 11:30pm est (with 2 one-hour long breaks). The tournament will use swiss pairing (max 16 teams) with the top 4 teams making a single elimination bracket. It is a best of 3 format, with different maps and tonnage/class restrictions per drop. Since it is a single day tournament, the max team size will be 6. If the tournament fills up, there will be a waiting list, and teams with previous RHoD (or other) league/tournament experience will get preference.

As for prizes, that is TBD, but we will be working with PGI to see if they are willing to support us.

I'm happy to announce that PGI has committed to offering prizes that are worth $500! While the fine details are still being worked out, this will likely include mech packs and MC. I believe in a scaled distribution, similar to what you'd see in professional sports tournaments, so prizes will be distributed down the final rankings as far as is reasonable.
