if i have a bad game but my team wins my skill goes up, if i have a good game and my looses some times there no change usually my skill rating lowers

if i bring a brand new mech i'll probably not have an amazing game i might but its not likely which will result in skill down usually

im tier 3 but regularly drop with 1s and 5s in the same match (solo drops)

so if my skill goes up and down irrespective of how i play and doesnt tally with what im piloting and the solo que mixes us all together any way, then besides a measure of how lucky/unlucky i've been what is the pilot skill rating actually for ?

If you do well on a win, that psr raise is much higher than if you did bad
If you do well on a loss, that psr drop is much smaller than if you did bad or even nonexistent.
If you do well overall, you will get a bit more wins than looses.

That's about it.

As said thousands of times, "tiers" are just an xp bar of how many matches you have clocked with tiny ammount of player input.

It's getting crowded on top.

Also, many players get stuck on tier 3 for some time. It's the most unpredictable tier. You'll get the hang of it soon and start to go up again, don't worry.

Well you are right sir, might have been a bit hasty with that comment.

It is possible that all I get are tier3 players in my quickplay matches. It's just that the level on ineptitude is staggering most of the time. And before any smartass get's to say it, I know, its quickplay, you are meant to derp in there.

Still, quality matches are something you can rarely find without private lobbies..
