I have three variants of the Crab on my IS account and I have really liked them all. Now Iam looking for something similiar for my clan account.

I have the build already set up with 4 MG's and small pulse lasers, but what I really want to hear is how would you rate its survivability when compared to Crab?

I've been running the Crabs with XL engines and still they feel quite tanky for their tonnage. Viper seems to have similiar profile, but its always hard to say if the hitboxes are as good? At least its gonna be way faster with crazy amount of jump jet power which should help me survive longer.

They are very dissimilar. The Crab is durable and the Viper is fragile. That is not criticism of the Viper.

The Stormcrow would be the closest Clan analogue based on weapons, speed and overall durability.

Viper is a good mech, but plays the polar opposite to the Crab.

Viper is very much more like a Clan Cicada. Cicada being a bit more durable, Viper being much more mobile / lethal.
