Especially when you are not only slave to the whims of a stupid RNG generator to get the mode for voting, but are slave to the community actually caring enough for each other to vote for it (If they aren't voting against it automatically to troll), THEN again being at the whims of the RNG to hope and pray you end up on the right god damn side.

At least with other event things you can eek them out with skill and determination regardless. This crap, though? You just sit and suffer, hoping that the planets align so you actually have a chance at getting on the right side, on the right mode, in the time you have to play the game.

I second that. Me and a friend tried for three hours to get escort and defend for day 1, but we never got it. We never even got the chance to try. Left us a really bitter taster about the whole event.

I'm okay with it, as long as the RNG is mostly within the players favor.

So you are okay with the RNG as long as theres no RNG.
