Not much to add to the tittle, indeed for a few patches now random and unexplainable stuttering has been getting worse to a degree that it gets in the way of playability. I used to have stellar performance in the 50 60 FPS range.

CPU: 2500K@4.5Ghz
RAM 16GB
GFX: GTX 970 Gigabyte G1
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 240 GB (dedicated for games I have the OS on a Vertex 3)

Windows 7/DX11

Are you able to see if the performance is being throttled due to heat? Sometimes fans/ports/heat sinks get dust in them over time and aren't as effective.

I have an AIO for cooling and regularly clean the dust on it, cant be throttling. The CPU max temp is just shy of 70 degree Celsius at full load.

I hate how MWO doesn't appear to use more of the GPU and less of the CPU.

Core i5-2500K normal temp is 55 to 65°C, and max temp is 72°C according to http://www.buildcomp...emperature.html

It does seem to be a bit close, but it seems ok.

these things wont throttle below 100 degrees.

I will be getting new PC in Q1 (not because of MWO) and I will be pi$$ed if the same happens with the new machine.

Combination of Cry engine and PGI's work produces real gaming mockery. They are like dog chasing his own tail. :D

I had to fix my stuttering in DX11 by extracting the ShaderCache.pak and create a dummy (empty) ShaderCache.pak.

Seems to be related to decompressing the .pak file and engine stalls. Now it reads from it directly.

First thought it was SSD related but no load can stall any other game, or windows itself even so that couldnt be the cause.

Nothing helped, not even a Reinstall of clean Windows.

PGI was extremely helpful *ehum* at technical support, they still don't have a clue why the fix i invented works.

Same directory as the ShaderCache.pak resides in.

Should create a 'ShaderCache' folder, and in there a 'Shaders' folder.

My issue seemed highly rare and unique though, no bets this will solve your issue.

Same thing has been happening to me over the past few weeks too. Got me killed more than once.
