So I saw a cheeky tag next to one KONDO's name in a drop the other night and wondered if there are any other player or unit movements that have happened?

I've heard OMC aren't putting a comp team forward for next season of MRBC due to player numbers.

Everyone's aware ASRC have disbanded and ISRC has picked up several of their comp players.

I've heard DSA should not have been in Div C for season 8 Posted Image

I've heard N-71 should practice more.

What else is news from around the traps?

Don't forget JGx has splintered. A few left after the 10v1 MWOWC saga, more recently IL Mechwarrior and a bunch of Italians seem to have left and formed their own units. JGx still exists but just with lower players numbers so it will be interesting what happens next MRBC season.

And I just keep potatoing around in the background.

Nothing major I reckon. Might see more movement once Live1991 gets off his arse and organizes Battle of Midway again. :P

And like Rathnor I too will just derp in the background and keep overheating my mech.

ARMD is still fielding the usual crew (less one KONDO). Seen a couple of new people about but I think the general decline in Oceanic units continues. OC TZ certainly isn't as vibrant as it once was.

5SSP seems to be growing so hopefully they are picking up a few more asian TZ players.

Personally I am playing less and less and once the BT game comes out will hardly play at all. I just don't have the time or the enthusiasm to play like I once did.

We're keen for any comp that comes up and have started training for the year. At the moment we are fielding regular 12 mans in IS FW most nights and having fun just doing our thing. That said, it is Friday tonight.....

I always meant to ask - what's the deal with multiple KONDOs?

JGx still won S8 - IL, far as I understand from talking to him just made a solo unit to take FP contracts as we drop together sometimes. He had his own tag before S8 started IIRC.

I would therefore think that players not having a tag, does not mean they won't be involved?

54MR - Usual casual behaviour continues. It's summer, not a lot of us regularly playing. Same over at EK, they are quiet too atm. So wait and see I guess.

Like many people KONDO has several accounts (none of which remain with ARMD).
ARMD has a clan unit (ARMx) so I think he started another account so he could easily change between the 2.

Kondo's original name was Warhammer which got shortened to War. Eventually he changed it to Kondo which means War in Hebrew or Arabic or something like that.

I've seen a lot more of Aiel online lately too. Not sure if this is due to holidays or something else but they've been missing from the have for around 6 months I reckon. Good to have them back

Jay Z, are the 228th going to have two teams in APAC this year?

Also heard rumours of a new team in the works for APAC made up of good, unitless (in terms of comp) players. Unaffiliated but keep your eyes peeled!

Depending on roster limitations and match scheduling, we're looking at:
12v12: 1 team
8v8: 1-2 teams
6v6: 2-3 teams
4v4: 3-4 teams

BfM plz

They have not splintered, they just move on to other games. ( over watch)

Long wait times, bad pugs games has killed heaps of the good players.

We've been dropping large groups in FW and/or group queue the past few weeks but seem to have missed the usual crew. What nights do you lot do group/FW? For the most part search times have been ~1-3 min for group and <1 min for FW.

I drop whenever I'm around, but that's usually with whomever these days.

That said the 54MR has been really quiet for our Oceanic's lately, to the point there is lucky to be 2-3 on @ the same time. Life, Summer & other games creeping into it. Can't say I'm surprised at any of those.

1BTC are still around, we are looking at getting involved with FW more this year. Our numbers have fluctuated with some of our players taking a bit of a break and we have picked up a couple of new players.

I am finding it difficult to organise an 8 man team on any night. :(

Hopefully after the summer break is over, numbers might build up again.
If not, is it worth doing an oceanic recruitment drive?
Still plenty of new oceanic players drifting in to the game who could benefit from oldbie mentoring.

I AM TRYING TO GET REGION-LOCK REMOVED, AT LEAST FOR AP.

https://mrbcleague.c...id=3872&forum=2

As live1991 says above heaps of good players have been leaving the game. Removing Region-Lock should help to alleviate that by allowing teams short a few guys to pick up and use players from different regions. Or alternatively, allowing AP players who are playing in other regions to also play on teams in their home region.
