So here I am enjoying the Brawling, at first I gave trying to Long Range and Mid and didn't like it I keep finding myself going back to Close Range Brawling.

The Problem I have is that I have enough atm or can get enough to get any Mech with C-Bills and I need to get a Clan Mech since my Friends are all running Clan Mechs(No Offence to IS Mechs I have much respect for them).

My Problem is I want to have Decent Speed (around maybe 81) with good Armor so I can take a hit or two and walk away if things go South. My one Fatal Flaw in my likes is I love just getting in there and starting a Brawl even if I know I will prob lose...idk I must be stupid to get some sick thrill from that lol

Thanks for Advice and Info.

Edit: I've been using the Current Orion IIC Trial Mech and Love the SRM-Shotgun Combo. idk if that helps, seems SRM's are just the go to for the type of Mechs I like.

Ok, looking at the 'mechs that go at least 81kph (or for Battlemechs, are able to fit an engine big enough to go that fast), have at least 3 Missile hardpoints and are available for C-Bills, though I may have ignored the "can take a hit" criteria Posted Image

Basic Speed / With "Speed Tweak"

Light
Kit Fox - 30 tons- 97.2kph / 104.5kph - 4 Missile
Adder - 35 tons - 97.2kph / 104.5kph - 4 Missile
Jenner IIC - 35 tons - Up to 145.8kph / 156.7kph - 6 Missile

Medium
Shadow Cat - 45 tons - 97.2kph / 104.5kph - 3 Missile
Hunchback IIC - 50 tons - Up to 89.1kph / 95.8kph - 4 Missile
Stormcrow - 55 tons - 97.2kph / 104.5kph - 5 Missile

Heavy
Mad Dog - 60 tons - 81.0kph / 87.1kph - 6 Missile
Ebon Jaguar - 65 tons - 81.0kph / 87.1kph - 4 Missile
Summoner - 70 tons - 81.0kph / 87.1kph - 5 Missile
Timber Wolf - 75 tons - 81.0kph / 87.1kph - 4 Missile

Of those, I would say the best Light option is the Jenner IIC because you can tweak the engine and number of Jump Jets. Best Medium is the Hunchback IIC for the same reasons. Best Heavy would be the Summoner, mainly for the maneuverability the Jump Jets give you.

Honourable mentions that aren't out for C-Bills yet;
Huntsman - 50 tons - 81.0kph / 87.1kph - 6 Missile (8 Missile if you buy the Hero)
Linebacker - 70 tons - 97.2kph / 104.5kph - 6 Missile
Marauder IIC Hero "Scorch" - 85 tons - Up to 76.2kph / 82.0kph - 4 Missile (a current favourite, 2x LBX20 + 4x SRMs. SRM size depends on how much ammo you want and/or how much speed you're willing to lose Posted Image )

Personally I (totally unbiased, I promise) like Mad Dogs for SRM brawling. Of course in a Mad Dog when I say "brawling" I mean flanking people not paying attention and instakill them with a 102 Damage Alpha in the rear CT. Or sticking closer to the assaults and nuking whatever focuses on them instead of you. Cooldown 5 module for the SRM6's let's you almost non-stop chain fire if you ignore the lasers for when you need to melt armor before overheating. TBR's get beefed shoulders that catch a lot of fire when you put anything on them, and SRM Summoners are just mean. Haven't tried an Orion, myself.

I would say (when they are released for C-Bills) the Linebacker (same speed as the Shadowcat/ Stormcrow) and the Marauder IIC.

The "Pocket Atlas" Build for the Orion I.S. and IICs are pretty brutal.

Id go Timberwolf S since it can also fill a lot of other roles as well.

OrionIIc is a one trick pony.
