So AWOL and Evil are in a group together and playing defense on Vitric Forge and while I will admit we did stomp the team we are playing against the match before, like 48 to 12 they have decided not to open the gates or fight and just sit there and waste our time for the match.

Bad play.

PGI, defenders need a way to be able to open the gates and go out and get them.

Please fix Nao

I should add all of the players on the IS side were all on the FRR hub and opened the gates with 1 min left in the match, poor form.

Is this what teams can expect from bad teams?

Might not be bad play.

Their strategy might have been to keep you occupied for as long as possible to give other teams a chance to win -- in that respect they were simply playing for a different objective than you and, from the sounds of it, they won.

In war, sometimes all you want to do is keep a force busy for as long as you can.

And let's be serious here, SCAR has said that they want to make FW as painful as possible so, I don't really feel too much sympathy when a team gives it back.

Non participation is a thing, we have vids and screenshots for backup too. One team winning match after match is not going to get the slider all the way back.

Im surprised and dismayed that this would happen, disgraceful.

As for your edit putting the part in about Scar, he was not in the match, bad edit is bad.

You were the one who mentioned EVIL -- for whom SCAR speaks -- you are going to find very little sympathy.

By your logic then the Jarl should be responsible for for all that happens in the FRR hub as he speaks for that.

lol I did this a few times with Marik when we took out tier3 team and held back the tier1 team for the full time. This allowed our other 12 man teams to get more drops in.

We would even shutdown and hind to keep the timer going Posted Image

This was of course before 1 bucket now know one cares.

There was no reason for this to happen, it wasnt clutch time and we wouldnt have been able to get the bar back across to stop IS taking the planet. So there was no need for this at all.

Non participation from cowards, nothing else.

Actually, they showed a weakness for IS mechs, battlemechs in general. Without isXL engine no weight savings to equip potential JJ that some mechs can equip. And most IS players would not think to try to climb over the wall.

So, in essence they are showing a weakness in the game. Have enough units do it and PGI will change it.

Twas the oposite, IS were attacking and we were defending, they just refused to open the gates and the defenders have no way of opening them and not many JJ on our side.

TBH they knew they were going to get spanked and couldnt face it.

LoL maybe you should start taking all mechs with JJ then?

Likely a bunch of T5/4 bad's with LRMs who are mad.

Most annoying, non participation report and send videos.

Non participation is not a tactic and dont try and pass it off as one either. There was no reason to do it other than cowardice.

Why not? I have seen several Clan units who jumped/went over the gate when the IS pugs would not open the gates, or could not open the gates due to the lack of the line to take down the gens.

Of course, if other side were actually pugs and not Evil/AWOL, this thread would not exist.

You know Tarl, I thought we were here to be warriors not cowards, if you dont want to fight, dont get in the queue.

I think it funny as hell Posted Image Cowards would have disconnected they trolled you. How many of you got killed jumping the gates? All they had to do was kill 12 of you to make the last match.

Running out the clock or needlessly extending the duration of a Faction Play match in an attempt to keep a particular group or Unit in the current engagement for as long as possible, in cases where doing so will not assist you towards victory, is not considered an acceptable tactic.

IS were always going to win the phase and I honestly have no issue with that, being merc we play both sides, this was pure non participation, nothing else.

the solution is simple mate: stop playing. Or uninstall the game. no need to waste time, right?

failing to farm potatoes is useless: lurmers will lurms; potatoes will potate.

Its a completely viable tactic since the maps are nothing but lanes and thats the problem your going to have trying to run a war with a precise time-table imposed by drop timer.
