Saved Games, MWO, Profile, name of pilot, rename/delete attributes.xml file
C: Drive, users\Windows user names (example Tarl) \ Saved Games \ Mechwarrior Online \ Profile \ Pilot's name \ Attributes.xml file

And play in windowed mode, be it full windowed or normal windowed mode. Another option would be, if not Steam Version to run the repair toolkit and select everything then run it.
What resolution do you have your system setup? And what brand, model of the LCD TV and its native resolution? You should set your computer to the TV native resolution. You can turn on GPU scaling in your Nvidia/AMD control panel but it might not look as good at native

First, make sure your video card is set to 1920x1080...You can change the font size later for the computer if it is too small and such.
Okay... rename that file instead of delete, allow the game to recreate it. that is a good resolution and the game will run that.
Other option.
Open Attributes file with notepad that is your copacetic66 profile folder. If you have more than one account, make the change in one than copy to the other profile.
Locate the following with Cnttrl key + F, type in Height then change the value there to 1080, then next to it will be Widith, change that number to 1920 as shown below.
<Attr name="OptionCfg.r_Height" value="1080"/>
<Attr name="OptionCfg.r_Width" value="1920"/>
Save and start the game.

It should be in the same location, right after Height. If not, add the line. It is possible that might be a reason it is bugged. They should all be lined up one after another, not in a column like below. So before the Height/Width comes DXVersion and after it Dialog Volume.
<Attr name="OptionCfg.r_DXVersion" value="DX11"/>
<Attr name="OptionCfg.r_Height" value="1080"/>
<Attr name="OptionCfg.r_Width" value="1920"/>
<Attr name="OptionCfg.s_DialogVolume" value="1.000000"/>
<Attr name="OptionCfg.s_GameMasterVolume" value="1.000000"/>
