I was reading the Roadmaps for the future and saw this "you can part of these inspiration of special events such as "operation great dane"

This is pretty awsome, and Kudo's to pgi for catching these details. What other special events can players think of in the future that might have as much impact. This is going to be an interesting prospect to look forward to

It is awesome.

Player run events, no offense to PGI, are some of the best because of one simple thing;

Love of the game/franchise and by extension, the Community.

Inspiration to participate is a stronger force of motivation then bribery.

That is what I prefer. From Dane's OP, and those before it, sure does seem/feel like I/we are not alone.

I know I am motivated by Lore/Story and a sense of 'belonging' far more then I am by Scooby Snacks.

Agreed! Also Alyward had a player driven event last year before Dane's. Aylward had some great audio news reports to support it as well. He did one for Dane's too. I think PGI should get Aylward to do those for them
