I would like you to mean the Sagittaire, laser boating meta types can rejoice in something better then a Wubshee!

Quote

The Sagittaire is built to fight in the confines of an urban battlefield. Weighing in at a massive ninety-five tons, the Sagittaire started production in mid 3063 and began to trickle out to units clamoring for close combat Mechs in the midst of the FedCom Civil War. As a power source, the 'Mech has a Pitban 285 XL engine. The XL engine saves weight at the cost of survivability and gives the 'Mech a top speed of 54.0 km/h while its mobility is enhanced with three HildCo LFT 9-X jump jets, allowing the 'Mech to jump up to ninety meters. The Sagittaire has seventeen double heat sinks to handle its massive heat load, and is protected by eighteen tons of Starshield Special Heavy armor, allowing the 'Mech to stand up to a great deal of punishment in spite of its engine.

SGT-8R
The Sagittaire has a large and varied arsenal built around energy weapons. For long-range combat, it has a single Defiance 1001 ER PPC. Once theSagittaire gets its opponent in medium to close ranges it can bring its full fury to bear. Its primary weapons are a pair of Magna 900P Large Pulse Lasers backed up by five Magna 600PMedium Pulse Lasers, two of which are rear mounted, and finally a single Magna 200P Small Pulse Laser. All of these weapons are linked to an advanced Targeting Computer, allowing the Sagittaire to eviscerate its opponents in close combat.

SGT-9D
The Medium Pulse Lasers have been traded for Medium Lasers but the Small Pulse Laser and ER PPC remain in place. All the other weapons have been replaced by a pair of LB 10-X autocannons and a C3 Master Computer. The lighter heat load allowed engineers to remove four double heat sinks.

Cool stuff, 95 tons would kill it for me. Russ keeps nerfing all the modes so i can't bring big assault mechs with any groups anymore.

While it does have nice hard point locations, I'm not a big energy guy. And it is ugly.

It has the Fafnir design philosophy of "GIANT BLOODY CANNONS", but with energy weapons instead. I actually like it.

Eh. At least the Fafnir has ballistics and great big mech mammaries.

Though I forgot to check the variants. This mech also has the potential to replace the King Crab - the SGT-9D has an LB 10-X in each high mounted arm, while keeping most of it's energy mounts.

Just give the IS sidetorso survivable XL engine, and let the Battlemasters take care of that.

And if it were to turn out more like that second picture in the OP, it would be way prettier than the Faffy.

There's something attractive about an ugly brick of doom, though. :P

Speaking of which, what is the mech beside it in the second picture? Looks like a Marauder without a ST gun.

'looks it up'

Huh. If it looked like the one in that picture, I'd actually really want one.

I like it but the small engine holds it back. I'd rather have a Nightstar or Cerberus.

I think Fafnir, Vanquisher and Legacy would be good too.

The SGT would actually be a very solid assault. Runs at 62.3 kph max to the KDK's 69.7 kph but who cares, that's peanuts and only the SB really runs max engine anyway.

It even has the ballistic in the arms, which means it can Gauss with an XL.

Nah it's cool, I didn't take it that way. I think it'd be good but it'd be a Wubshee with a smaller engine & JJ. It'd have a 345 cap I think. I do like the ballistic variant a lot too.

Yea, would be nice to see it come in sometime to MWO.

I can appreciate a few IS mechs, right?

...Actually, those side torsi will either be very well shielded and roll damage well, due to their shape, or they'll explode on contact from a foul gust of wind.
