I'm trying my hand at building a mech for the first time. Up until now I've just used the stock versions that come with the game.

My first attempt pretty much sucks. I'd love any tips/critiques/suggestions etc you guys might have.

despite never owning or operating a Stormcrow ever, I can tell that is going to be a hot mess. At the very least i'd say replace the PPC's with LPL's.


Popular Stormcrow builds are the Laservomit, with LPL's and ER meds, Gaussvomit, with gauss rifle and ER meds, uh, Streakcrow, with Streak 6's, only if you play against incompetent players though. Um, is UAC 20 and ER meds a thing?

maybe adapt them to something you like if you don't wanna just ape the meta builds.

If you want PPCs, dump the uac and include heatsinks. Also, more armor in the front of the torsos and less in the rear - you'll last longer. Also, put the ppcs in either torso - there will be no convergence issues and you can shoot between very narrow spaces. If you can see it, you can shoot it. You want to have a heat ratio (whatever they call it) as close to 1.2 as possible. If you want a targeting computer, a 1 is much more efficient for the tonnage. You'll want a lot of heat sinks for the ppcs. My ppc stormcrow only has 4 er small lasers as backup weapons - the rest of the tonnage is heatsinks.
