I saw this post on the outreachHPG sub-reddit and think it's an absolutely fantastic idea so wanted to give it a bit more exposure.

The Quick Play alternative to Faction Play group fees! Implement Solaris tournaments in quick play, have an entrance fee, then payouts for win streaks! Just make the entrance fee larger than the average payout and you'll be draining the economy like no other! No need to tax your skill tree! Everyone is happy!

Edit: And here's some more opportunity to sink CBills, courtesy of /u/iamatotalnoob and /u/LionZoo13 : Spectators and Gambling! This would require a bit more overhead to do, I can see possibilities of cheating (have a friend spectate and give intel would be a huge concern, maybe unless you lock spectators to in-cockpit views of the team they specifically spectate, but that reduces the entertainment of spectator, imo), but those are two more facets that allow people to throw money at the screen!
