Greetings MechWarriors!

We'll be turning off the Skill Tree PTS today, Feb 17th at 3PM PDT. It will be returning back live at the end of next week once we have completed the changes from the collected feedback. You can also look forward to a detailed post regarding the implemented changes by next week.

We'd like to give a big thank you to all the MechWarriors who have contributed to feedback on the Skill Tree PTS sub-forums and we hope to see you again on the next Skill Tree PTS session at end of next week!

By the amount of input you got I suspect that there will be a lot of tweaking going on to what we have seen so far =)

One would also hope that there would be enough time to make further radical changes following the onslaught of critiques and criticisms that are sure to ensue next week. We are now 31 days from patch.

I appreciate the fact that a test was fielded and it wasn't just an appeasement exercise.

Feedback delivered and acted upon in some way. I look forward to the next round of testing.

Hi,

Thankyou for the update, will we need to redownload the entire test client for the new build or will it be deployed as a patch like it would be on the live environment?

Now this was a successful PTS imo (2nd we've had tbh).

Keep it up PGI.

I only wish you will turn down this crappy new "skill tree" idea. But who do I kidding. Posted Image

Earlier this week it was announced it was being delayed [at least] until March patch

We'd also like to inform everyone that while the Skill Tree was initially slated for a release in our upcoming patch on February 21st, we are now targeting a release for the March 21st patch to ensure sufficient time for iteration and improvement on the PTS client.

AFter two days they pushed it back to Mar 21. The question now is what if any whanges are being made. It mightbe easier to download an updated client than to change whatever needs to be changed depending on the amount of work that has to be done. hopefully the new client will be easier to fix and actually change some of the items we've talkied about for the better.

No it will just be an update. Just as long as you don't uninstall it.

Cool thanks Tina. Are patch notes still planned to come out today?

I look forward to the changes. Thank you for listening to us. There is a lot of potential in this new system, if it is made a bit more linear, with less fluff to click thru, and much, much cheaper to spec.

Good to see a plan for moving this forward in a modified manner, and getting it tested again. I hope we can get some "patch notes" soon and that there is sufficient room in the schedule to make substantive (but hopefully not complex) changes to the skill tree system.

Definitely like the changes ! I very much look forward to the updates as they come. I like having the ability to customize the perks my mechs get and that i dont need three chassis to master one of my mechs to top notch potential for my play style.
