I came up with similar or identical to what Molten Metals Majestics video did with the SNV-BR build. Which is also similar to my moby **** build on my Direwolf UV: Moby **** / +ammo

SNV-BR:

UAC/10's / 2

LBX20's / 2
And ones based on chainfireing Medium Pulse lasers. But annoying UAC/5s: (Add MPL cd mod)

UAC/5's/ Streak

Edit: The UAC/5 versions are really strong!

SNV-A:

ShortRanged / Medium / Streak
or
SRM-6+SPL / MPL
or
LRM20+ERSL

SNV-1:

ERML-ERLL / El-Cheapo! / El-Expensivo! / ERML-LPL - PPC / MPL-LPL-ERML
or
ERSML-MPL-LPL / AMS
or
ERML-LPLnoJJ
or
ERLL / ERLL+MPL / ERLL-SHS / ERLLx6 / 2 / XL310
or
ERLL+SPL / 2

SNV-3:

PPC-MPL / PPC-ERSLZombie! / 2

SNV-B:

MPL-ERLL / PPC
MPL+ERML-LPL / 2 / AMS
ERML+ERLLZombie!

SNV-C:

LPL+MPL+ERML

Best Mech Layouts: (in my opinion!)(Redoing to have 3 JJ in each mech!)

SNV-C: LPL+MPL+ERML / 4xLPL-ERML / PoptartPPC
SNV-B: ERML+ERLLZombie! / BasicUpgrade / 6xPPCMaster
SNV-A: SRM-6+SPL / MPL / LRM20+ERSL / LRM10+ERSL(PoptartLRMing!)
SNV-3: PPC-ERSLZombie! / 2 / PoptartPPC(VelocityKing!)
SNV-1: ERLL+SPL / MPL / FullJJ
SNV-BR: UAC/10's / 2 / UAC/5Streak / UAC10+Streak

Those are nice, but I prefer to run heavier builds.

My Super Nebula:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...e04fdf939ca4c1d

My SNV-1 that I made for shits and giggles:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...148585cdadc7e33

My SNV-A that for now is my favorite Clan Assault:
SNV-A

And my Boiler that is my second favorite:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...04fb350ddd3c96a

The Super nebula runs pretty hot but is still relatively stable the Super PPC was just a proof of concept, do not alpha strike in it or you will die terribly. The other two I've been running a lot and have usually done 400-500+ damage per match, not good but not useless.

OP,

Well if you are brawl (SRMs) then go for the brawl!

2x Lbx20s
3x SRM6a
3x S pls
and a max XL motor

This weapon config actually has pretty strong synergy. Especially if you have cool-down mods for the LBXs and SRMS, then the cooldown for all 3 weapons will be nearly identical for constant alpha spam.

Effectively it is kinda like the typical scorch setup, minus a SRM and plus the small pulse

I built my boiler similar to Boogie's, but with a more mid range set up.
2x lbx 10
3x medium lasers
1x LRM 10
2x Streak SRM 6

You've got a faster reload rate than the LBX 20 and a bit more range. Its sweet spot is 200-397 meters so all weapons are working at their peak damage efficiency. It even runs reasonably cool.

Yea just dont alpha strike unless you know you are dead anyways, when I tested it on frozen city I nuked an atlas with one shot then I got nuked by the extreme heat output.

I normally use UAC's so I can have some range going in. then I hit them full blast once I'm closer. I then try to get 50-100% extra ammo for the uac's so I can hit on the way to the target. This give ranged and close range affects with the same damage potential outside of accuracy or avoidance of twisting. In which case I usually aim for the head so the twisting doesn't matter. 8)

But, yea, I saw the two uac/20's and completely forget the ghost heat didn't affect the LBX's.

The Uac/10's allow for more heatsinks though. And the LBX/20's have the same heat output as double tapping the UAC/10's. But the 20 version has Artemis.... Not sure how to combine that.

The best SNV-1 build I've seen is this one.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...d41d6bd836d0d7e

Just fire 2 ER Larges at a time and when at close range, use only the medium pulses. You'll be able to nearly continuously fire.

I went for a slightly less ridiculous 6 PPC build, I alpha'd on the Tundra and shutdown for 8 seconds.

I was working on that since that is waht I was trying to do. But I can't get a perfect 6.0/6.1 regen. This is a close as I could get. I wanted two ERLL+ERML so I can chainfire ERML infinetely, but I got this instead. Sadly not a perfect set of 4 ERLL though.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...de940127ac2a8d2

Had to go Single heat sinks to get the extra capacitance and regen to fit.

This is a similar one with DHS:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...cb81adce3895e69
or better yet:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...b3575bc323cc515

can't find a way to get a medium laser boat the way I want it...

And a new SNV-A: XLAmmo <- This with two cd mods for each weapon type does a really good amount of damage.

I went the STD route with my laser builds to avoid the side torso loss penalty. They both have respectable alphas, but my philosophy is always to keep heat management reasonable, and so the extra weight went back into the engine.

SNV-1 - medium pulse boat

SNV-3 - standard medium/large pulse boat

I went the LRM boat for my A. I run a similar build with one of my Warhawks, and the Supernova does it just a little bit better. I try to play it as almost a brawler, trying to get within 200-400 meters from the target. Most of my recent games have been getting 700 damage minimum, even if the kills are low-to-none and the accuracy is only 50%.

SNV-A - 4 LRM 15, 4 medium pulse

here's a fun one for the: SNV-B

And a simple SNV-1

SNV-3

NSV-B

SNV-C

SNV-A

Having 3 jumplets really adds to this mech. There should be a way to fit jump jets without using slots and weight. It should be a part of the exterior of the mech for free for mechs that have them.

Edit: I just figured out something intersting from this build:(I'm a noob! ><)

PoptartPPCVelocityKing!

That is, if you have center lasers and a projectile arm without locking the mech. You can more easily hit while strafing and getting circled or circling others. This lead me to the realization of what Streak LRMS are for:

UAC/5+MPL+Streak(BrawlerMaster!)

It has to do with being able to hit a target while turning. If your center reticle is being dragged by the arm reticule then the body lasers will hit the target while the velocity based arm weapons are hitting from a natural lead.(probably saying duh!!) Then it dawned on me. How do you then use body mounted missiles and still fire... The answer is lock-on weapons. Because the even slower missiles will never hit reducing DPS while rotating giving a natural advantage to things circling you. Hence the above build!
