Hey guys I have not posted in a very long time. I need your help.
2 weeks ago my PC crashed it was 7 years old. The fellas over at BestBuy said they could not retrieve my Mechwarrior Online account from my harddrive. They loaded what they could from the old drive to my new computor.
What is my next move?

Reinstall the game. You lost nothing but video settings and key bindings.

you could also have lost screenshots.
But as Bilbo said, just reinstall, all data for Mechs, inventory, cbills, xp, mc ect. are stored on PGIs servers, just reinstall, set up any game settings and keybindings and you will be fine

Its an online game with micro transactions. Any and every game like this stores everything but game settings on their server.
You only need to worry about single player games and games that don't do microtransactions when it comes to computer or hard drive failure.

And that's where something like Steam can help.

Nah, no trouble there - server based means never having to recover your hard drive.
