I'm looking for feedback on my Thud 5S build. I've been running with it a bit and pulling some ok numbers, usually around the high 300s to the mid 400s with some assists and the like, which is a lot better than what I did with most of my other attempts, but it doesn't feel quite at the right level. I'm currently running this: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...74e6d533c87310b as a sort of skirmisher/brawler setup. I know the ERPPC is a bit out of place on that style of build, especially on a mech quirked well for LLs, but anything I set up with the LLs either doesn't work well for my play style, or is just a very slightly improved version of something I could run better on my CN9-AL, even using Gman's LL brawler hybrid. Maybe swapping it for an LPL would work? I've included AMS because I've been running into matches with a lot more enemy mechs running LRMs and the rain is getting to be a bit much. I also have both of the Thunderwubs, so "buy a better Thud" isn't something I'm interested in.

I would run it as a pure brawler built around 2x ASRM6. The energy weapons would be 4x mplas or LLAS/LPLAS + 3x mlas depending engine and heat preference.

AMS is unneeded as you should be near hard cover at all times. I very rarely use CASE, though nothing is harmed by its use here. I can usually find a better use of .5 tons.

Yeah, my only problem with running that 4MPL+2ASRM6 is that it's basically just a CN9-AL with better armor. It's undoubtedly effective, but it doesn't feel like the best use for the mech.

Standard ballistics build: u can use ultra ac5 or ac5.
